In the section called "Should Not Wander," it explains which offenses are established, showing the four offenses arising from going and not going. Among them, regarding wandering in the fields during the summer becoming an offense, it is because: Therefore, it is said, "Wandering in the fields during the summer." Wandering in the fields during the summer to see the countryside, this becomes a transgression. Going after being blessed for the purpose of being freed from offenses, completing ordination, engaging in the four disputes, etc., is not prohibited. If one wanders in the fields, it is prohibited. When starting on the road, it is a misdeed. Exceeding the boundary of one yojana, it is the actual offense. For others, such as monks, it is a misdeed. For those who are near obstacles, there is no offense. That is to say, if any of the eight obstacles occur, there is no offense in going during the summer. Regarding not going after the summer retreat becoming an offense, it is because: Therefore, it is said, "Not going there after the summer retreat." Having promised to observe the summer retreat, after making a distinction of prohibition, not going to wander on the sixteenth day, this becomes a transgression. The measure of going here is the boundary of one yojana. Women are particularly prone to attachment to dwellings, therefore this training is established. For others, this is a misdeed, which should be understood from the Compendium of Vinaya. If there is fear everywhere or there is quarreling, there is no offense. If one finds a travel companion without fear and does not go, it becomes a complete offense. Waiting for a travel companion after the sixteenth day, there is no offense. Regarding going with doubts becoming an offense, it is because: Therefore, it is said, "Going to a village with doubts." It should be combined with "wandering in the fields." In a village, being in doubt due to the fear of robbers, still wandering in the fields, this becomes a transgression. Regarding going with discord becoming an offense, it is because: Therefore, it is said, "Also in the case of discord." Regarding going to a village

In order to retrace the word "O," the sound "O" is spoken again. Wherever there are discordant enemies, that is being with discord, and no one should go to that place. Whoever goes should be killed, like making a law prohibiting going. For a place that is both with doubt and with discord, going there will produce two offenses at the same time. The so-called four offenses arising from going and not going are the offense of wandering in the fields in summer, the offense of not going after the summer retreat, the offense of going to a place with doubt, and the offense of going to a place with discord. These four offenses have been explained. Chapter Forty-Two. From now on, two offenses arising from speech will be explained, therefore, for the reason that quarreling in another's place will become an offense, it is said to go to the place of the gods, etc., and to the place of the heretics to argue. The so-called place of the gods, etc., the word "etc." includes the king's palace, etc. The so-called place of the heretics is the residence of the heretics. The so-called arguing is quarreling, because in the Vibhanga it is said that arguing is quarreling. Going to another's place and suppressing others is a very presumptuous act, therefore this offense will arise. As soon as the meaning of a word is expressed, it will immediately become an offense. If asking without permission will become an offense, therefore it is said to ask without permission. Asking questions by monks, etc., without permission will produce this offense. Here in the basis of discussion it is said monks, but in the classification of offenses it is generally indicated. How should permission be given? Therefore it is said to spread a mat, make each other happy, and then give permission by asking the scriptures. First spread the mat, and then ask questions below it.

After mutually pleasing each other, in the context of questioning, known as "Asking the Scriptures," one should allow the other person the opportunity to discern what they have heard from the Sutra Pitaka, Vinaya Pitaka, and Abhidhamma Pitaka, etc. Here, the "scriptures" refer to asking how much of the Abhidhamma and Vinaya the other person is proficient in. After explaining the above, the following will explain the three types of offenses related to speaking. What is the offense of going alone to an outside place? Therefore, it is said, it is going alone to an outside place. Going alone to a place where there is a pile of excrement more than a bow-length (approximately two meters) away from the vicinity of the summer dwelling will incur an offense. Here, if it is a capable Bhikshuni, there is no offense in going together with this Bhikshu. What is the offense of defecating on green grass? Therefore, it is said, it is defecating on green grass. Defecating on green grass will incur an offense. Here, "defecating" refers to both the act of defecating and the act of discarding what has already been defecated. If the green grass is contaminated by impure substances, it is a root offense; in front, it is a minor offense. A sick person has no offense. This is about defecating on green grass. If green grass covers all places, there is also no offense. To emphasize this point, the word "also" is used. If all places are covered with green grass, there is no offense in defecating there. What is the offense of defecating without looking at the wall? Therefore, it is said, it is defecating without looking at the wall. Here, "wall" refers to the enclosure of the summer dwelling. Therefore, outside the enclosure of the summer dwelling, not observing whether there is anyone here, and defecating without considering, will incur an offense. If it is a wall made of shrubs, there is no offense. This is about the summer dwelling.
