For example, valuable items such as jewels, and lowly items such as even massaging feet, are examples. For these, it is only a downfall. Because women's attachment is particularly strong, for them, it is established as a downfall. Because men's attachment is particularly weak, for men, all these are misdeeds. The downfall of "selling the Dharma" has been explained. If enticing someone constitutes a downfall, then it is said that by showing conduct in accordance with renunciation, causing one to abandon household affairs, and not allowing one to renounce, it constitutes a downfall. That is, because of showing words in accordance with renunciation to a householder woman, causing her to abandon household affairs, and after abandoning household affairs, not allowing her to renounce, this offense occurs here. The basis of this training is that Gotami Skimma said to a wealthy widow afflicted by the pain of grief, "Why do you not renounce?" The widow said, "If the Holy Mother allows me to renounce, I will renounce." Gotami Skimma said to her, "If you abandon these household affairs, it will not be difficult for you to renounce." When the widow abandoned household affairs, Gotami Skimma did not allow her to renounce, hence this precept was established. "By showing conduct in accordance with renunciation" means that it should be understood as the words of expectation, "It will not be difficult for you to renounce." Enticing others constitutes a misdeed. The downfall of "enticing" has been explained. If gathering many followers constitutes a downfall, then it is said that allowing one to renounce after a year constitutes a downfall. That is, after allowing another to renounce in a certain year, allowing another to renounce in that same year constitutes this offense. The statement "after a year" indicates that it is immediately following. Therefore, allowing one to renounce immediately or later in that same year constitutes only a downfall. For the third year and so on, there is no downfall. The downfall of "gathering many followers" has been explained. If collecting what is not given constitutes a downfall, then it is said, without the owner's permission.

Speaking of the term "ordaining," if a wife ordains without her husband's permission, she will commit this offense. As for the husband, if the wife's ordination would cause him harm, such as in this case, if the ordination would not cause harm, therefore it is said here that the offense is heavier. The term "ordaining" should also be applied to the following four training grounds. The "offense of admitting one who is not allowed" has been explained. Next, among the four offenses caused by admitting those with defects, for whom does it constitute the offense of admitting a seductive woman? Therefore, it is said "seductive woman," which should be connected to "the bhikkhuni herself ordains, then she will commit this offense." For whom does it constitute the offense of admitting a pregnant woman? Therefore, it is said "pregnant woman," which should be connected to "the bhikkhuni herself ordains, then she will commit this offense." For whom does it constitute the offense of admitting one who is afflicted by suffering? Therefore, it is said "one who is afflicted by suffering," which should be connected to "the bhikkhuni herself ordains, then she will commit this offense." For whom does it constitute the offense of admitting one who has cut off sexual desire? Therefore, it is said "one who has cut off sexual desire," which should be connected to "the bhikkhuni herself ordains, then she will commit this offense." One who has cut off sexual desire will not only commit an offense by ordaining, but also by bestowing full ordination. Bestowing full ordination on a pregnant woman is an act of wrongdoing. The so-called "one who has cut off sexual desire" is said in the "Differentiation" to be an "impure woman," because it is very unreasonable to allow a woman who has cut off sexual desire to enter the Dharma. The four offenses caused by admitting those with defects have been explained, namely the offense of admitting a seductive woman, the offense of admitting a pregnant woman, the offense of admitting one who is afflicted by suffering, and the offense of admitting one who has cut off sexual desire. Next, among the four offenses caused by abandonment, for whom does it constitute the offense of not giving benefit? Therefore,

It is said that not benefiting those who have become monks and have taken full ordination. It should be understood that this refers to what the bhikkhuni herself should fully master. The bhikkhuni herself, for those who have become monks and have taken full ordination, if she does not fully exhort them with instructions and the like, and does not give benefits, it will constitute a downfall. If not guiding in what kind of situation will constitute a downfall? Therefore, it is said, if one sees an obstacle and does not guide. It is said that if the bhikkhuni herself, for those who have become monks and have taken full ordination, sees obstacles from patrons and the like, and does not guide them from a place with obstacles to a place without obstacles, or does not make them fearless in that place, then it will constitute a downfall. If not teaching in what kind of situation will constitute a downfall? Therefore, it is said, not teaching the bhikkhuni's precepts. It is said that if the bhikkhuni herself, for those who have become monks and have taken full ordination, does not teach the bhikkhuni's precepts, it will constitute a fault here. Thus it is taught, if the bhikkhuni herself, for those who have become monks and have taken full ordination, does not teach the bhikkhuni's precepts, then that bhikkhuni will constitute a downfall, thus it is established. If not providing sick care in what kind of situation will constitute a downfall? Therefore, it is said, not providing sick care for the sick. It is said that if the bhikkhuni herself does not provide sick care for her disciples who have become monks and have taken full ordination, it will constitute a fault here. Not only for those who have become monks and have taken full ordination, but also for attendants. It is said that the female teacher who gives residence, if she has any attendants, that is, she has attendants, she should also not provide sick care for her own attendants who have become monks and have taken full ordination, it will also constitute a fault here. Thus it is taught, for the female teacher who gives residence and does not provide sick care for the sick attendants residing in the residence, it will also constitute a downfall. The four downfalls arising from abandonment refer to the downfall of not giving benefits, the downfall of not guiding, the downfall of not teaching, and sick care
