Therefore, it should be said, "This is the offering to be given to the certain monastery named so-and-so." The offering to be given should be written as, "This is the offering to be given to the patron's certain monastery named so-and-so." The offering to be given refers to the Dharma of the nature of that which is to be given. Here, the scripture is what the Blessed One said: "This mattress should be written as the offering to be given by King Gzugs can snying po (Possessing Form Essence)." It is the same for clothes, etc. The Sangha should also write on clothes, etc., "This is the offering to be given to the certain monastery named so-and-so." In this way, it should be done for other things as well, like dwellings, and for other things like utensils. The occasion of allowing reading, along with what arises incidentally, has been explained. Now, the occasion of reading is to be spoken of, that is, one should not merely cling to the Buddha's teachings, combinations, words, and order, and repeat the reading. It means that one should not merely cling to the combinations, words, and order of the scriptures spoken by the Buddha himself, and read them in conjunction with them. Combination refers to the manner of reading, such as the manner of lengthening the sound, etc., and the names of becoming sounds, etc. Words refer to reading by separating each word. Order refers to reading by putting all the words together. "Clinging to this" means thinking that one should be completely like that. That is to say, thinking that one should be like removing the manner of combinations, etc. If one reads in that way by one's own nature, then there is no fault. If one is able to make others understand well, and does not abandon diligence in the Buddha's teachings, then one should study the treatises of outsiders. It means that a bhikshu should study the treatises of outsiders. Here, there is no specific explanation, so one should understand both words and meanings. The scripture here is, therefore, a bhikshu should study Lokayata.

It is said that it is allowed. It is said that it was said like this. If everything is without distinction? Therefore, it is said, "Able to make others understand well," which means whatever is able to satisfy others. Should it be grasped only by indulging in it? Therefore, it is said, "If one does not abandon diligence in the Buddha's teachings," which means that one should not abandon diligence in the Buddha's teachings in any way. The so-called "that time is when one-third of the sun is uncomfortable" means that the time when one grasps the treatises of outsiders is one-third of the sun, and the so-called "uncomfortable" should be understood as the time when the body and mind are not able to function. The so-called "night is also" should be combined with the phrase "one-third of that time is uncomfortable." The so-called "should grasp the secret mantras that bring benefit" means those that eliminate harm such as poison. The so-called "should combine" means that the secret mantras that bring benefit that I have grasped should also be combined in all ways through other blessings and so on. The so-called "cannot do harm" means that secret mantras that bring harm should not be grasped or combined. The so-called "in the place of prostration of those, one should recite the Three Jewels" means that in the place where prostration arises in those secret mantras, one should recite "I prostrate to the Three Jewels." The so-called "do not prostrate to other gods" means to Vishnu and so on. Here, the scripture says that there are two types of secret mantras: those that bring benefit and those that bring harm. Among them, those that bring harm, monks should not recite or combine. Those that bring benefit, monks should recite and combine. And, in those secret mantras, if one first prostrates to other gods, then the Blessed One taught: Monks should not prostrate to the gods of other paths. The so-called "do not make offerings, do not show respect" means do not make offerings to the gods of other paths. If one goes to a place, one should stand up visibly, announce with the sound of cymbals, and then recite the verses of the scripture, thereby benefiting him.
