As for wooden planks, one should know from their strength and usability. "Do not sit on a mat with someone who is separated by more than three years of ordination" means: do not sit on the same mat with an elder who is separated by more than three years in the time of full ordination as a monk and is advanced in age. This is because it is not appropriate for a young person to sit with a very old person. Here, "separated by more than three years" refers to the number of years since full ordination, not age. Therefore, it is not permissible if it is more than three years, but it is permissible if it is three years or less. If there is no other mat in another's house, then even with the Khenpo (preceptor), one should maintain mindfulness and sit on the same mat. Here, the mention of "with Bhikshu" is to illustrate that even with those who have not received the Bhikshu vows, one should not gather. The so-called not a platform means that the platform itself is land, so it is not a cushion. If it becomes a narrow harm, there is no downfall, which is a special exclusion for all the foundations of teachings during gatherings. Here the scripture says: Is it permissible for a Bhikshu to sit on the same mattress with a householder? It is not allowed to be close, but if there are such circumstances, it is allowed. As for the placement, if there are two people, one gives a bed or a small bed, and the other gives a mattress, etc. If there are two people, give it like this. There is no special mention here, so it is not only the Sangha, but also individuals. Do not mercilessly pull the Sangha's belongings from the front, nor pull them from the left and right.
