Also, depict in the painting the acts of using a bottle's offspring to make dusters and starting fires. There, whichever benefactor there is, also depict in the painting that they are holding a lamp, together with their retinue. Because the house that is on fire is completely dark, it is said that the image of a lamp should be fashioned. Also, depict the messengers of the gods in the painting. The so-called messengers of the gods are beings' birth, aging, sickness, death, and so on. These are to be depicted in order to generate weariness and to manifest the side of virtue. The so-called depiction of those holding vases in their hands, adorned with various ornaments, and the daughters of the nagas drawing water in the water house, is because the nagas have power over water, so these should be depicted in the water house. The so-called depiction of the Thus-Gone-One attending to the sick in the sickroom means that in the infirmary, the Thus-Gone-One attending to the sick should be depicted. The so-called depiction of cemeteries or skulls in the latrines means that in both types of toilets, expansive cemeteries or skulls and other skeletal remains should be depicted. In a temple without a roof, one should not kindle a fire with smoke, nor should one hold it. This is to avoid the painting becoming unsuitable. Without a roof, there is no fault. The so-called "do nothing in a hut" means that on a ground hut or a smoothed, pounded area, one should not kindle or hold any fire, whether smoky or smokeless. The so-called "for that purpose, one should hold tongs" means that for kindling a fire, one should hold tongs. The so-called "utensils such as earthenware pots needed for fire" are called tongs. Here, the text refers to the fact that monks, in the late winter season, were forced to light fires in huts due to the cold, which made the huts unsuitable. The Blessed One therefore taught: "Do not light fires in huts," and so on. The so-called "for evenly stirring, use a thin iron rod" means that it should be connected to "holding." The so-called "stirring mutually from all sides of the fire" is called evenly stirring. The so-called thin iron rod,
