That which is called "throne" is established from the throne and the lion throne. Regarding stability, a staircase made of bricks should be made, which means that it is for the nature of the lion throne not moving to other places. Regarding moving, it should be made of wood, which means that for the lion throne moving to other places, a staircase made of wood should be made. If there is none, then a ladder should be made, which means that if there is no staircase made of wood, then a ladder should be made on it. A footstool should also be made, which means that wherever the two feet are dangling, a footstool should be made of the same size as the two feet are placed. Offering, this is to be understood as offering to the footstool, that is, when the faithful people anoint the footstool with incense, cover it with flowers, and make offerings with offerings of water and so on. In order to show that a bunch of leaves or a bunch of grass is placed on it, it is said, "A bunch of leaves or a bunch of grass is placed on it," in order to eliminate doubts when standing. This (making a footstool) is for the purpose of not letting the two feet dangle, which means that the matter of making a footstool is for this purpose. This can be accomplished with stones, which means that not letting the two feet dangle can also be accomplished with stones. In order to prevent crows, sparrows, pigeons, etc. from harming the people who are eating, a bird net should be made, which is in the courtyard. Here, the scripture says that when the monks are eating in the courtyard, crows, sparrows, pigeons, etc. harm them, so the Blessed One instructed, "A bird net should be made." There are four kinds, which means that there are four kinds of bird nets: made of munja grass, made of balbaja, made of hemp, and made of cotton, these four are examples of other kinds such as kasha grass and kusha grass. Drive stakes into the four corners, this refers to the four corners of the courtyard. Place them on those, which means to place the bird net on those stakes. Wood will rot, so make them of iron, which refers to the stakes. Install a ring on one side of it, which means that a ring should be installed on one side of the bird net. If you ask why, it is because you want to enter after you have finished eating.

It is said, "For the sake of that." After the monks have finished eating, it is for the sake of letting crows etc. in. That morning, what is called "covering" is that space. In summer, in order to prevent water from entering the corridor, it is said, "turf etc.," and the word "placement" should be added. In which direction? Therefore, it is said, "between the pillars." Is it all? Therefore, it is said, "except for the direction of appearance." Except for the direction to let light in. If there is none, then place "Sega" or "Rede" etc. If there is no turf etc., then place "Sega" or "Rede" etc. there. At the end of the four months of summer, take out, which refers to turf etc. A surrounding corridor should be made, which means making a circular corridor. In order to make the dwelling cool, it is surrounded by walls on the outside, which means that in order to make the dwelling cool, rows of pillars should be erected inside, surrounded by walls on the outside, and a pool should be set up in the middle. Erecting rows of pillars means inside. Windows should be opened, which means that many windows should be opened there. All the lower ends should be directly connected to the upper ends of the cushions, which means that all the lower ends of those windows should be directly connected to the upper ends of the standard sizes of cushions such as beds, and in that way many windows should be opened in the surrounding corridor. Nets and vents should be placed, which means on the windows. Rooms for food, fire, defecation, and washing should be made, which means that rooms for food, rooms for fire, rooms for defecation, and rooms for washing should be made. Protrusions should be made around the sides of the walls, which means that on the sides of the walls of the temple, in order to exceed the usual custom, relying on the walls of the temple, for the sake of dwelling, rooms with eaves should be made. A dwelling refers to the nature of a corridor, so it is different from this. An earthen house can be made, which means that a cave dwelling where monks can live can be made. An enemy also means that a place where monks can live can also be made. Here, the enemy refers to the top floor etc. of the temple's rent etc., which is the opponent's weapon.
