It is said that because what is the wheel of existence like, it should be made into five parts. Here, the saying "five parts" refers to the five types of beings. If asked in which direction the parts of gods and humans should be drawn, therefore it is said, "Above are the gods and humans." It means that in the upper part of the wheel, the beings of gods and humans should be drawn. Then, it should be known that in the lower directions, the beings of hell, animals, and hungry ghosts should be drawn. The "four continents" should also be drawn. The beings who are born by transformation, like the rope of a water bucket, the dying, transferring, and being born should also be drawn. In the center are desire, hatred, and ignorance, in the form of a pigeon, a snake, and a pig respectively. It means that these should be drawn in order. The first two are eaten by ignorance, it means that the forms of desire and hatred, the pigeon and the snake, should be drawn as if they are being eaten by the form of ignorance, the pig. Around the circumference, the twelve links of dependent origination should be drawn, and everything should be grasped by impermanence. It means that on the outer edge of the wheel of existence, the twelve links of dependent origination should be drawn, and all of them should be drawn as being held in the lap by the demon of impermanence, grasped by all five limbs. Above, a white mandala showing the Buddha's passing into nirvana should be shown as being near. It means that above the wheel of existence grasped by the demon of impermanence, the body of the Buddha, the Bhagavan, should be drawn, and next to it, the image of nirvana, the white mandala, should be drawn. It should be drawn as if the Buddha's body is showing closeness to that mandala. Below, the two verses beginning with "One should strive" should be written. It means that below the wheel of existence grasped by the demon of impermanence, the two verses beginning with "One should strive" and so on should be written in letters. Which two verses? One should strive, one should exert effort, one should enter the Buddha's teachings.

Like an elephant in a reed house, destroy the army of the Lord of Death. Whoever is utterly mindful, will practice this Dharma and Discipline, and having completely abandoned the cycle of birth, will put an end to suffering. Thus it is said. One who shows that should be placed, which means that a monk who can show the wheel of cyclic existence should be placed in that temple. Around it there should be great miracles and the subduing of the Maras, which means that around the porch of the temple, there should be paintings of the Blessed One sitting on the Vajra Throne subduing the Maras, and showing great miracles after manifesting perfect enlightenment.
