Because the types of transformation were not spoken of. Because it is peaceful, it is established separately, not placed within the actions of censure, therefore this is not shown as a method of censure. If it is not thought so, then it should be known, because threatening and so on are not truly established as such, thus it is said. Threatening, scolding, expelling, reproaching, and removing from the community, those are also for the sake of pacifying disputes and so on, but those have not been separately established from the categories of such actions of censure. Therefore, it is not thought that peacefulness itself is separately established from the categories of actions of censure. If it is said that because giving, which is in accordance with seeking its own nature, does not see the downfall, and if one takes out something that is similar in nature to the actions of censure, then, because it shows that the fault will also become something else, does one knowingly violate and despise it? Such thoughts. Because the knowledge of not seeing truly arises, thus it is said. When, for the nature of the actions of censure, one gives in a way that is in accordance with seeking its own nature, does one knowingly violate the downfall and despise it? Such thoughts, when the Sangha arises, not seeing the downfall, that is, clearly there is a downfall but saying that one does not see, such thoughts will arise in the Sangha. For not seeing the downfall and performing censure, because the action of censure of "expelling by not seeing" has already been established. Therefore, giving in accordance with its own nature will become meaningless in this case. Therefore, some people think that showing giving in accordance with its own nature as a method of censure is not good, because like this, for those who know but do not see, the thought will arise that clearly there is a downfall but one does not see it. Not striving for the sake of peace is not permissible, meaning that not striving for the sake of pacifying disputes is not permissible. The main text here is that the monks who have become the Sangha, the things that monks should do.

In general, disputes should be pacified by the unanimous agreement of the Sangha, as the Buddha said. If someone does not give unanimous consent, efforts should be made to obtain it, because it is generally summarized for all situations to apply. The so-called "root of dispute" has already been explained in the context of the Vinaya's fundamental section. Now, in order to summarize the statement of the root of dispute, it is said that "all pacifications are initiated into disputes for the sake of action." All seven methods of pacifying disputes are initiated into disputes for the sake of action. In what way are all methods of pacifying disputes initiated into disputes for the sake of action? From the perspective of cause, that is, the cause by which the seven methods of pacifying disputes are applied is that disputes are initiated for the sake of action. For example, refusal, etc., is the cause of disagreement, therefore, by the cause of initiating disputes for the sake of action, that is, the way of disagreement, all methods of pacification are applied. How are they applied? Because disagreement in matters such as requests is a dispute of action, therefore, just as relying on refusal itself and not giving consent, the mediation of mindfulness and non-insanity to pacify disputes is also applied here in order not to blame. Just like being accompanied by downfall, similarly, for the sake of downfall, the act of admitting to pacifying disputes, as well as present mediation and grass spreading, etc., are also applied. Acknowledging and distinguishing, seeking its essence and consistency is also the same. Just as not giving consent through both explicitly refusing and being accompanied by downfall, in order to distribute, seeking more methods to pacify disputes, as well as present mediation, are also applied here. Here, the scripture is, what are the four disputes spoken by the venerable Bhagavan, and what are the seven methods of dispute pacification spoken of, for these, the venerable Bhikshu should pacify these four disputes with any of the seven methods of pacifying disputes, and is it possible to pacify them? Except for initiating disputes for the sake of approaching, other methods are not allowed, this is what the Buddha said. What is not suitable to supplement is that in the terminology of the Sangha, the assembly is divided.
