O. The mantra with great power, from the time we renounced in the well-spoken Vinaya Pitaka, we have been fighting, exposing shortcomings, arguing, quarreling and dwelling, residing in one side or another, we have not attained it, it is not attained. We have attained faults but not attained merits. Apart from serious offenses and those dependent on householders, whatever transgressions have occurred to you from this basis, and whatever transgressions have occurred to me, I am willing to confess them before the venerable ones without concealing them. Whatever venerable ones, having renounced in the well-spoken Vinaya Pitaka, have been fighting, exposing shortcomings, arguing, quarreling and dwelling, residing in one side or another, we have not attained it, it is not attained. We have attained faults but not attained merits. Apart from serious offenses and those dependent on householders, whatever transgressions have occurred to them from this basis, and whatever transgressions have occurred to me, I confess them before the venerable ones. I do not conceal them. If I confess and acknowledge, I will touch happiness. If I do not confess or acknowledge, it will not be so. Do you see the transgression? I see it. Will you guard against it in the future? I will guard against it, so it is said. Those who are in harmony with the other side, it is said, those who are of one mind with the other side, therefore it should be corrected, not for any other. Confession does not purify those who do not admit their faults or those who confess without meaning, that is, those who do not admit their faults or those who confess as if they were innocent, it does not purify, that is, those who do not admit that they have committed a transgression and those who admit that they have committed a transgression when they have not committed one, it is not the Dharma, so it is said, it is a summary. Here the scriptural authority is like this: if a monk commits a defeat and claims that he has committed it, the Sangha makes him claim it, this is illegal, so he is punished, so it is said. Together with things, it is permissible to offer.

It is about the matter of debate. One person debates with one person, one person debates with two people, one person debates with many people, one person debates with the Sangha, two people debate with one person, two people debate with two people, two people debate with many people, two people debate with the Sangha, many people debate with one person, many people debate with two people, many people debate with many people, many people debate with the Sangha, the Sangha debates with one person, the Sangha debates with two people, the Sangha debates with many people, the Sangha debates with the Sangha, these are all matters that should be debated. When debating, those that are shown together with things are included. The debater himself is also like that, which means it is permissible together with things. The difference in number here is not fixed, which means that the matter of debate and the debater himself, for how many matters of debate there are here, it is not necessarily only that many debaters who will carry it out. The debater restrains himself with body and speech, and is knowledgeable about the Tripitaka, and after careful consideration in the Sangha, does not show what is contrary to the Dharma and Vinaya, and what is the opposite of this, one should respect the one who possesses these three qualities. This means that one should respect the debater who possesses three qualities, what are the three? That is, he restrains himself with body and speech, and is knowledgeable about the Tripitaka, and after careful consideration in the Sangha, he does not show the Dharma that should be known and the Vinaya that should be kept in a reversed way, does not show them as non-Dharma and non-Vinaya, and does not show the non-Dharma and non-Vinaya that are the opposite of this as Dharma and Vinaya. One should not be in agreement with those who are immoral and show things in a reversed way, which means one should not be in agreement with the debater who is immoral, and who shows the Dharma and Vinaya as non-Dharma and non-Vinaya in a reversed way, one should not pay attention to, slander, or argue with his words even slightly. For those who are not like this, but who hold the Tripitaka and do not understand it, one should admonish, which means for the debater who is not immoral and shows things in a reversed way, with body and speech
