Furthermore, in order to follow the statement "obtaining anything and storing it as food," the word "also" is mentioned in the previous sutra as well. For the sake of clothing, obtaining anything and secretly storing it as food will constitute a downfall arising from eating clothing material. For the sake of bedding and cushions, obtaining anything and storing it as food will constitute a downfall arising from eating bedding material. For the sake of summer dwellings, obtaining anything and storing it as food will constitute a downfall arising from eating summer dwelling material. Here, for all transgressions arising from eating, if one has already eaten, one only needs to confess the downfall. If one has not eaten, one must abandon that object and then confess the downfall. In this way, although the act of eating is similar and the transgression is also only one, these four are established and separately distinguished in order to allow those nuns who follow the names of different objects to avoid them. "The downfall arising from eating clothing material, etc." refers to the downfall arising from eating clothing material, the downfall arising from eating bedding material, and the downfall arising from eating summer dwelling material. These three downfalls have been explained. // So, does appropriating something dedicated to many people constitute a downfall? Therefore, the statement "arranging for many nuns and then completely converting it to oneself" is made. That is to say, for anything arranged for the sake of many nuns themselves, if one completely converts it to oneself, it will constitute a transgression here. A gathering of people is many people, that is, four or more people. As it is also said in the differentiation, "for the sake of many people" means for the sake of the nuns' sangha. Saying "many people" means that if something is arranged for the sake of the nuns' sangha, that is, for a group of four or more, and it is converted to oneself, it will also constitute a similar transgression. Otherwise, only the nuns' sangha would be mentioned, not many people.

Needless to say. As it is said in the Pratimoksha Sutra, if a Bhikshuni accepts offerings for the sake of suddenly arriving Bhikshunis and eats them alone, it is a Nissaggiya Pacittiya. Arranging offerings for a Bhikshu, for a novice who has not yet received full ordination, for a non-Buddhist renunciate, and for a householder, but completely converting it to one's own use, is a Dukkhata. The Nissaggiya Pacittiya of misappropriating offerings dedicated to many people has been explained. Under what circumstances does the Nissaggiya Pacittiya of misappropriating offerings dedicated to the Sangha occur? Therefore, it is said, "Also for the Sangha." The word "also" is used to reiterate "arranging offerings and then converting them to one's own use." Appropriating and possessing offerings arranged for the Bhikshuni Sangha constitutes an offense here. If the offerings are dedicated to a Bhikshu, etc., then here too, it should be understood as a Dukkhata as before. The Sangha mentioned here refers to offerings arranged for the entire Bhikshuni Sangha without any numerical limitation. The previously mentioned "many people" refers to offerings arranged for some people with a numerical limitation of four or more. Therefore, arranging offerings for a Sangha without numerical limitation and enjoying them alone constitutes an offense belonging to this category. Arranging offerings for a Sangha with numerical limitation and enjoying them alone constitutes an offense belonging to the previous category. The Nissaggiya Pacittiya of misappropriating offerings dedicated to the Sangha has been explained. Under what circumstances does the Nissaggiya Pacittiya of untying occur? Therefore, it is said, "Untying something bound for the purpose of making it obedient." Untying bundles of goods, etc., for the purpose of living by sexual intercourse and making someone obedient constitutes an offense here. However, untying something bound for the purpose of keeping the goods in good condition is not an offense. The story here is that Tsugga likes and is infatuated with the son of a spice merchant, and in order to make him obedient, she buys goods and bundles from him.
