The so-called "washing the feet of the monks" means: at night, water suitable for the season, warm in cold weather and cool in hot weather, is used to wash the feet of the monks cleanly. The so-called "rubbing the feet well" means: rubbing the feet for the monks at dusk. The so-called "if you don't want to, apply oil" means: if the monks don't want to rub their feet, they should be oiled for them. The so-called "that is the lowest in the monastery" means: for things that should be abandoned and things that are satisfactory, the residence and all the complete enjoyment of the monastery should be arranged in the lowest position. Matters such as relocation should be arranged in order of rank internally, because satisfactory things are pure, so relocation is the lowest. Because relocation is pure, giving teachings is the lowest, because falling is the most inferior. Expelling everything from the residence is also the lowest, because it is abandoned. The so-called "obtaining in all places is autonomy" means: except for those who have been expelled, if they live in other places, those are autonomous. The so-called "do not be懈怠in virtue" means: do not think that those are not the time to do virtuous deeds, even if there is no opportunity for realization at that time, still do not be懈怠in virtuous deeds, because it is to accomplish favorable conditions. Because one day it will become a person with the opportunity to realize. For example, the Blessed One said that one can recover from falling through repentance, not through punishment. Giving teachings can also bring realization, therefore, when attaining the Arhat state, the two actions of relocation and satisfactory things, like giving teachings, are naturally obtained, and there is no need to carry out additional punishment, nor is there a need for expulsion, etc. The so-called "this is similar to seeking its own nature, giving and teaching" means: for monks who abide in their own nature, do not cling to proclaiming supernatural powers, etc., as shown, for this kind of behavior, seeking its own nature, giving and teaching are also similar to relocation and satisfactory things, because the behavior of these two is also these. The so-called "do not expel" means

Regarding that, even if only by giving the opportunity to seek its own nature and giving instruction, there are no other recitations, one should not recite the Pratimoksha Sutra during the Uposatha ceremony. The former, "obtaining self-nature by requesting forgiveness," refers to the former of the two mentioned, giving the opportunity to seek its own nature and giving instruction. Giving the opportunity to seek its own nature means that if one requests forgiveness from the Sangha, and the Sangha grants forgiveness through supplication and the four karmas, one will obtain the self-nature of naturally abiding. The mantra for requesting forgiveness oneself is: "Venerable Sangha, please listen. I, the monk so-and-so, when given the opportunity to seek my own nature, my hair stood on end, my hair fluttered, and I caused disgust to the Sangha, moved forward, approached in a similar manner, entered within the boundary, requested forgiveness, and returned from the basis of the actions that led to expulsion. Compassionate venerable Sangha, please accept with compassion, please forgive me, the monk so-and-so, when given the opportunity to seek my own nature." It is said that it should be recited three times. The mantra for the Sangha to grant forgiveness through supplication and the four karmas is: "Venerable Sangha, please listen. This monk so-and-so, when given the opportunity to seek his own nature, his hair stood on end, his hair fluttered, and he caused disgust to the Sangha, moved forward, approached in a similar manner, entered within the boundary, requested forgiveness, and returned from the basis of the actions that led to expulsion. If the Sangha deems it timely and forgives, please allow the Sangha. The Sangha forgives giving the monk so-and-so the opportunity to seek his own nature." This is called supplication, etc. The latter, "only by the state of Arhat," refers to giving instruction, which means that one cannot obtain self-nature by forgiveness alone, but one can obtain the self-nature of naturally abiding by obtaining the state of Arhat. The saying "until the opening of the door, and monasteries, etc., fully possessing abiding and possessing conduct, and both are" refers to being connected to "that is similar to this," until the opening of the door, and monasteries, etc.

Regarding those who abide in these two behaviors, and those who possess and practice them, the phrase "the behavior of completely abiding and pleasing is the same" is used. The phrase "opening the door, etc." refers to the occasion when the sutra previously stated, "In the morning, one should rise early to open the door and offer a lamp." The word "opening the door" was mentioned, and from that point onwards, regarding the behavior of completely abiding and pleasing, a monk should abide in his own nature, without boasting, prostrating, rising, joining palms, or claiming respectful actions as his own. All the sutras from the beginning to the end should be generally combined. The phrase "temple, etc." refers to the occasion when the sutra previously stated, "That temple is the most suitable." The word "temple" was mentioned, which is implied by the word "temple" because it is close. The word "etc." implies the sutras that follow, such as "being independent in all acquisitions" and "one should not be distracted from virtue." It should be understood that these two sutras are implied, but not others, because they are different realms. Therefore, regarding all the sutras from opening the door onwards, as well as "that temple is the most suitable," "being independent in all acquisitions," and "one should not be distracted from virtue," the behavior of these three sutras, "having moved" means having already moved but not yet received the object of joy, and "having practiced" means having already practiced the object of joy but not yet taken it out. These two individuals should also be understood to be the same as the behavior of moving and pleasing, because these two are not abiding in their own nature, but have already completed the work, so they are distinguished in this way. It is taught that, until the object of joy is given after the abiding is completed, this is the temporary ritual. For those who have already given the object of joy, it should be known that all the previously taught sutras, such as opening the door, must be performed. For those who have already practiced the object of joy, but have not yet taken it out, this is the temporary ritual. For those who have already taken it out, it is the previously taught opening the door, etc.
