That is to say, a Bhikshu should not ask for fees, rewards, or wages for taking care of those children. The so-called "one may possess the gains of fruit" means that one may accept the fruits offered by others. Here, the scripture refers to the fact that when Brahmins, householders, and cowherds offer fruits to the Bhikshus, the Bhikshus do not accept them, so the Blessed One taught: one may accept them. Jars filled with ghee, sesame oil, honey, and brown sugar may also be accepted, and should be connected to "one may accept." A jar filled with ghee, etc., is a jar of ghee, etc. Here, the scripture refers to the fact that when people offer jars filled with ghee, sesame oil, honey, and brown sugar to the Sangha, the Blessed One taught: one may accept them, and after accepting them, they should be distributed by the Bhikshus or laypeople. The so-called "their containers may also be accepted" means that if the containers of ghee, etc., such as jars, are offered, one may possess them. The so-called "they should be placed" refers to ghee, etc., and their containers. Where should they be placed? Therefore, it is said, "at the base." The so-called "jars of excrement, urine, and alcohol are not needed" means that because they are not needed, nothing should be placed near them. The so-called "for the sake of the Sangha, one should take care of any cooking and cooked food" means that for the sake of the Sangha, the donor should take care of any cooked food such as cooked rice and vegetables. Here, it means arranging for others to do it, not doing it oneself, because a Bhikshu would be breaking the precepts if he cooked himself. The so-called "without pouring alms into the bowl, one should not go begging without wiping the bowl" means that when begging for alms in the city, one should not go begging without pouring alms into the bowl and without wiping the bowl clean, in order to avoid the fault of being contaminated by unclean things. The so-called "one should carry a bowl cover" refers to what is used to cover the alms placed in the bowl.

That which is to be done is the cover of the alms bowl, it should be held. Do not doubt that holding this and the food container are different, meaning: holding the cover of the alms bowl, as well as spoons and salt bags, etc., other than the offered drink cup, do not hold other food containers, do not doubt that this is different for monks and nuns. Nuns should also hold the cover of the alms bowl, and should not own spoons and salt bags, etc., and other food containers other than the offered drink cup, this is the final decision. It is also not allowed for a sick person to wear a hat, do not doubt, it should be understood as: do not doubt that it is not allowed for a sick nun to wear a hat. It is taught like this: Ānanda, except for situations that are inherently faulty, because the Buddha has allowed sick people to wear hats, so do not doubt that this is not allowed for nuns. Here the scripture is, the great प्रजापती (Sanskrit Devanagari, Prajāpatī, Sanskrit Romanization, Prajapati, Lord of beings) asked, the Blessed One taught: hats should be worn. Therefore, in places where water freezes, what is allowed for monks, it should also be known that it is allowed for nuns as well. Do not enter someone's house for alms without making a sound, here "making a sound" refers to another name for the clapper. Do not enter someone's house for alms without making a sound. It should be held, referring to the clapper. Being skilled in coming out and entering, one should strive, meaning that the alms seeker should strive to be skilled in the path of coming out of and entering other people's houses. How to do it? Therefore it is said to use signs, signs should be set up. What to use to set it up? Therefore it is said to use alms powder etc., referring to placing flour etc. at appropriate times. Do not make a living by selling the Dharma, meaning do not rely on the Dharma as a commodity to make a living in order to obtain benefits, that
