Nala. Those, like land, etc., that are not widely used for food purposes also exist in a state of being cut off from life, so it is said, therefore that scripture is the source here. The feces and urine of calves nourished by breast milk are called "that," and should be used in conjunction with the word "poison." The ashes and earth, etc., that appear below should also be used in conjunction with the word "poison." Those are beneficial for poison, meaning that those feces and urine, etc., that are called poison as mentioned above, are beneficial for those who have been poisoned. Ashes, meaning that it shows the category of ashes, this is also called poison. In order to show that, it is said that the ashes of the Kanchan tree, the Kapithala tree, the Ashvattha tree, the Udumbara tree, and the Nyagrodha tree. That, meaning that the ash is beneficial for poison. The earth is good under four fingers, meaning that the earth that is beneficial for poison is good under four fingers, because it has not been damaged by wind and sun, etc. Here the scripture is, monks, poison is feces, urine, ashes, and earth. Among them, feces refers to the feces of those calves who have not been born long and are nourished by breast milk. Urine is also the urine of those calves, etc., so it is said. Those should be obtained from a faithful layperson, meaning that poison should be obtained from a faithful layperson, because the layperson's faith may also decrease, therefore it is said here that they are faithful, because those poisons do not occur by chance, so it is reasonable to do it secretly, therefore it is said to obtain from a faithful layperson, and giving and receiving is also indicated by him. The mixture of meat and barley that appears below should also be known to be done in the same way. He should indicate giving and receiving, meaning that the faithful layperson should indicate the giving and receiving of that poison. The medicine of the nature of meat is also, meaning that the faithful layperson should indicate giving and receiving. If there is neither a faithful layperson nor is the patient hindered by illness, then at that time one can also obtain and give and receive from others, it should be understood from the rule that says except for the purpose of healing.

Here, the scripture says, "The Blessed One Bhikshu said, 'A pill of poison medicine should be given to the Bhikshu.'" Which Bhikshu should give it? It is the attendant lay devotee. Bhikshu, is it allowed to give and receive? The attendant is allowed to give and receive. Which Bhikshu allows giving and receiving? It is the attendant lay devotee," so it is said. The saying, "Everything should be taken from the butcher's place," means that not only raw meat, but all meat medicines should be taken by the lay devotee from the butcher's place. The saying, "This is what should be done," means that the lay devotee taking meat medicine from the butcher's place is not something that should not be done, but it is what should be done, and there should be no doubt that it is not something to be done. If medicine made from barley is needed at an inappropriate time, for this purpose, barley from old cow dung can be used, but other barley should not be eaten. If doing so would cause the patient to become an obstacle to illness for the superior, then after that, when it is allowed, combined with the phrase "now is the time," medicine made from other barley can also be eaten. The saying, "If the malt is filtered with a sieve, it is okay, otherwise it is not," means that if medicine made from barley is needed at an inappropriate time, for this purpose, barley from old cow dung can be used, and if the malt made from that barley is filtered with a sieve, it is okay to use it, but if it is not filtered with a sieve, it should not be eaten. The saying, "If meat medicine is needed, the feces of the sea can be used," means that if medicine made from meat is needed at an inappropriate time, for this purpose, meat from the feces of the sea can be used, but other meat should not be eaten at an inappropriate time. If doing so would cause the patient to become an obstacle to illness for the superior, then after that, medicine made from other meat can be eaten. The saying, "If the broth is filtered with a sieve, it is okay, otherwise it is not," means that if made from meat at an inappropriate time,
