These terms, "shaking" and "loosening the roots," are examples of all forms of bodily enticement. Therefore, even actions like arranging the hair here constitute a grave offense. It is also the same if one accepts by arranging a time and place. That is, a bhikkhuni who has not developed desire says to a man who has developed desire, "Come to such and such garden," or "I will also go to your such and such house," thus arranging a time and place with words; or, a man who has developed desire says, "I will go to such and such garden, you also come to that place," thus arranging a time and place with words, it constitutes a grave offense. If one accepts with actions, it is a misdeed. Here, the scripture is generally proclaimed, therefore it is said "with words." The term "hint" should be connected to "if one accepts the action, it constitutes a grave offense." "Hint" refers to a hint of time, such as saying "I will prepare in the morning," etc., using a hint of time to arrange a time, and the other person also says "I will also prepare," thus accepting the hint of time with words, it constitutes a grave offense. The term "sign" should also be connected to "if one accepts the action, it constitutes a grave offense." "Sign" refers to a sign of attire, such as saying "If you see me wearing such clothes, prepare yourself," etc., if one accepts such a sign, it constitutes a grave offense. The term "if one takes possession of his coming and going actions" should be connected to "if one takes possession of the coming and going actions of that man who has developed desire, it constitutes a grave offense." "Coming" refers to coming to the place where that bhikkhuni is. "Going" refers to going to the place where the time and place have been arranged. This bodily enticement is a grave offense for a bhikkhu, whether it is done for a woman or a man. Other actions such as providing a seat, if not spoken, are misdeeds. If spoken to a woman, it is a sanghavasesa offense. Bodily enticement of
