Each share, such as a half, a third, or a quarter, is owned. From the combination of these, only one full share should be given. Here, the root is that whatever the income of a monastery is, shares should be drawn from as many places as it occupies, and then one share should be given from that. This is what the scripture says. For those who have vowed to stay in one place, it is distinguished by the length of time they stay. That is to say, for those who have vowed to occupy multiple places, such as beds, etc., other than what was mentioned earlier, if someone vows to stay in one place, such as during the rainy season retreat, initially vowing to stay in one place, and then immediately vowing to stay in another place, and then vowing to stay in another place, and then vowing to stay in another place, like this, vowing to stay in many different places, then the income should be distinguished by the length of time they stay in each of those places. Wherever they stay for a long time, only one full share of the income should be given from that one place. A share should not be given from all of those places, nor should shares be drawn from those places. Here, the root is that the venerable Nearsayer, wanting to obtain income, took a staff and bedding in two monasteries and vowed to stay. He received the price of robes from one monastery but not from the other, and then tried to obtain income from there as well. The Blessed One said: Take the income from the place where you have performed the Uposatha many times. Novices and novice nuns should have their income reduced by one-third, meaning that they should have their income from the price of robes reduced by one-third and own two-thirds. For the income from robes of the Sangha, such as those in retreat, one-third should be reduced. For the income that the donor explicitly offers to everyone, it should not be reduced. For food, it is equal, meaning that novices and novice nuns have the same rights to the income from food as fully ordained monks. It is not equal for robes and so on. For those who have taken full ordination, it is the same for those who desire and for the nuns, meaning that both of them are fully ordained.

That is, the share and the gain are the same. Here, it is not just the gain of food, but all gains are the same. Wanting to receive the full ordination refers to doing it for novices and female trainees (śikṣamāṇā), because for female novices, it is not allowed to receive full ordination before becoming a female trainee. Here, the female trainee is also actually mentioned, so it also includes novices who hold a partial vow. It should be done for those who are of full age and want to receive full ordination. For those who are not of full age and those who are of full age but do not want to receive full ordination, they belong to the category of deducting one-third as mentioned before. Here, the scripture says in scattered clauses: Monks and nuns should be given equal shares. Novices and female novices should be given two-thirds. Those who want to receive full ordination and female trainees should also be given equal shares. The distribution of shares for monks and nuns is based on individuals, not on the monastic community. It means that if the gains are not clearly distinguished as "these are offered to the monastic community of monks, these are offered to the monastic community of nuns," then the monastic community of monks and the monastic community of nuns should be distributed according to the number of people, not divided equally according to the number of monastic communities. Here it is explained that however many individuals of the nature of monks and nuns there are, that many shares should be given equally, not half offered to the monastic community of monks and half offered to the monastic community of nuns. Here the scripture says: It should be distributed by the number of heads. Regarding the final gain of food, if no distinction is made, even nuns who have not eaten the food are not excluded from receiving it. The final gain of food refers to the gain that is offered after the food has been eaten. Not making a distinction means that the donor did not make a distinction saying "these are only offered to the monks." For such gains, the nuns who ate the food there are not without rights, but have rights. Here the scripture says: When sixty monks are traveling
