This is how it is done. Those who dwell and abide in that place should bless it, but not those who dwell in other places. Therefore, in this case, it is established by the power of the objects to be blessed, not by the power of the corpse. The saying, 'Whatever is like wealth belongs to where it is,' means that the belongings of the deceased, even if they are in another place, belong to the place where the wealth-like object is. Therefore, if the Sangha belonging to the place where the wealth-like object is blesses the wealth-like object within that place, then all the visible and invisible robes and non-robes of the deceased's belongings in another place will be blessed. 'Like wealth' refers to the householder or renunciate in whose hands the belongings of the deceased are placed, and who is to be blessed. This is because that person is like the substance of that wealth, or its image, or its principle. It is taught thus: If a person like wealth dwells in another place, that person blesses the wealth of another deceased person, even if the owner has been placed in another place. It should be taught that the wealth to be blessed is also in the place where the person like wealth dwells. Therefore, if a person like wealth blesses in the place where the person like wealth dwells, then all the visible and invisible robes and non-robes of the deceased's belongings placed in another place will be blessed. Therefore, it is said that what is like his wealth and is in another place should be blessed. Monks, because the person like wealth dwells nearby, the belongings of the other deceased placed far away should be blessed only by the act of requesting. The mantra for this is: Venerable Sangha, please listen. Thus, if a monk named གྲེ་སྐྱེས་(藏文) has died here, if it is the right time for the Sangha and it is permissible, the Sangha should grant it.

Establish another storehouse. The Sangha should distribute the belongings of the deceased Greeskya Bhikshu (throat-born monk) to the Bhikshu Kundgawo (Ananda), who is like wealth. The belongings of the deceased, whether Dharma robes or non-Dharma robes, should be blessed. This is a request. It is said. That which is given, if the recipient does not abandon it, it is still his. That is, whatever is given, if the recipient does not abandon it, it still belongs to the giver, because he still has the right to dispose of it. This is taught: If the giver gives something to the recipient, and the recipient does not abandon that thing, then it should be known that the thing is under the control of the recipient. If at that time both the giver and the recipient have died, then that thing becomes the belongings of the giver after death. That which is abandoned belongs to the giver. That is, it should be known that the thing abandoned by the recipient belongs to the giver. Therefore, if at that time both the giver and the recipient have died, then that thing becomes the belongings of the giver after death. Even if he abandons it, it is still his. That is, even if the giver abandons that thing, nevertheless, that thing still belongs to the giver. This is taught: The giver gives something to the recipient, and after the recipient abandons it, the giver hears of it and thinks: This thing I have already abandoned, what use is it to me? Even if he abandons it again, that thing still belongs to the giver. Therefore, if at that time both the giver and the recipient have died, then that thing becomes the belongings of the giver after death. Here, the meaning of the scripture is: If a Bhikshu gives Dharma robes etc. to a Bhikshu, and the recipient abandons it, and the giver also abandons it, then blessing it for the recipient is not blessing it. If blessing it for the giver, then it is blessed, that is, it is well blessed.

This is the place that was spoken of. That which is blessed as the belongings of the dead, precisely to condemn, should be blessed, that is its definition. Furthermore, if those who perceive themselves to be within the boundary cannot bless merely by themselves, then, outside the boundary, if those who perceive themselves to be within the boundary bless in a discordant manner, that is also not permissible. Moreover, the word "moreover" indicates that it is also not permissible within the boundary, because blessing merely by oneself is discordant. Here it is shown that if those who perceive themselves to be outside or inside the boundary cannot bless in a discordant manner, then for those who perceive themselves to be outside the boundary, what need is there to say that it is not permissible? Because one should not do what is not permissible, one should understand this as a transgression through the general instruction. If one is in doubt, then doubt is like perception, and through the general instruction, one should understand that it will also become a transgression. Outside the boundary, if one perceives oneself to be inside the boundary, or if one is in doubt, and blesses with a thieving mind, then for that thieving mind, it will become a grave offense. If one blesses with a thieving mind inside the boundary, then before the theft, for that too it will become a grave offense. If one has already stolen, then it is separated from the object. One should not bless without performing removal, offerings, listening to the Dharma, and recounting merits, which means that in that boundary, one should not bless the belongings of the dead without performing the removal of the corpse of the dead, etc. The begging bowl and Dharma robes residing in another's house, whoever the householder gives them to, that person owns them, which means that if the begging bowl and Dharma robes of the dead, etc., reside in another layperson's house, then those things belong to whichever renunciate that householder gives them to, that renunciate owns them. If one owns them and is impoverished, which means that whichever renunciate the householder gives them to, that renunciate, if it is said in five ways such as "one with the same name," also owns them, and the objects such as the begging bowl
