In the absence of a clear stipulation, those who acquire property consider it to be clearly stipulated, that is, between the two parties who have promised and have not promised, such as "So-and-so house is yours," "So-and-so house is ours," "This avenue is yours," "This avenue is ours," and so on, if such rules are made. If one party has clearly stipulated houses, etc., and the other party obtains property from them, then that party has no control, and the houses, etc., should belong to whichever party has clearly stipulated them. If both parties gather at the same time in a house assigned to one party and jointly acquire property, then those properties temporarily belong to the party that clearly stipulated the ownership of the house. The other party has no control, and even if that party has acquired it, it must be distributed to the other party. If the party with control gives, then the party without control can also enjoy it at will. Some people doubt that if both parties jointly acquire property in the house, then one party also acquires property, why should it be distributed to the other party? To dispel this doubt, it is said, "Even if everyone makes offerings." Even if all donors are offering property, the property should be distributed according to the rules made by the recipients. Then, what does it mean to say that when the Sangha splits, the monks say, "So-and-so house is yours," "So-and-so house is ours," and make such rules and promise to stay in retreat? Does this not refer to the fact that during the summer retreat, both parties of individual things are included? Here, the two parties of individual things during the summer retreat are just an example, and other seasons such as winter and other groups are also applicable, therefore, this is just a general and brief explanation. If food is also clearly stipulated in this way, then the other party cannot

If it is allowed, it should not be consumed by others. Therefore, if all acquisitions are allowed, then it should be understood that there is no fault. If the Sangha is not completely delimited, then it is completely delimited by the boundary of karma, which means: The donor says, "I have offered it to the Sangha." If it is not completely delimited to which Sangha it is offered, and the acquired property is not clearly determined, then at that time the Sangha should be completely delimited by the boundary of karma. The boundary of karma means: the boundary suitable for performing karma. If it is in a place where a large boundary is delimited, then it extends to the edge of half and three ক্রোশ (krośa, about 1.5 kilometers). If it is in a place where the boundary is not delimited and is surrounded by walls, then it extends to the edge of the outer wall. If it is in a place where the boundary is not delimited and is not surrounded by walls, then it extends to the edge where the water dripping from the eaves reaches. If it is in a place where the boundary of the mandala is delimited, then it extends to the edge of the mandala itself. If it is in a village, then it extends to the edge near the village. The monks belonging to those boundaries have the right to those acquisitions, that is its definition. Here, "one, etc., that is itself" means: for the acquisitions offered for the sake of the Sangha, those belonging to one boundary, such as one person, etc., who have not formed many Sanghas, are the same as the Sangha itself, and they have the right to those acquisitions, that is its definition. For example, if one relies on a monk, male or female, and promises to stay in the summer retreat, and in that place women, etc., offer acquisitions for the sake of the Sangha, then those belonging to that boundary have those acquisitions. If one says, "I have offered it to this Sangha," and if there is no one else there, then those acquisitions are controlled by the boundary. If one says, "I have offered it to you alone," then those acquisitions are controlled by the basis (རྟེན།), which is the definition of being accomplished by the power of the basis. Regarding the acquisition of Dharma, those who speak it have the right to it, which means: for the property offered to the Dharma, those who speak the Dharma have the right to it. In the Vinaya-vibhaṅga, it is said, "What is offered to Nirvana should be placed like a stupa." Therefore, this should belong to discourses, etc.
