The meaning of 'eliminating regret' is: eliminating the regret arising from doing bad deeds. Here, the meaning of 'abandoning wrong views' is: eliminating the way of generating sinful views. The meaning of 'accomplishing conformity with the Dharma' is: when disputes or debates arise, one should seek help with the Dharma. The meaning of 'requesting forgiveness' is: previously abandoned by the Sangha etc., and later requesting forgiveness from the Sangha. The meaning of 'four such as transferring' is: transferring and fundamentally transferring, making happy and fundamentally making happy. Again, fundamentally raising and transferring, and again, fundamentally raising and making happy, are no different from fundamentally transferring and fundamentally making happy. The meaning of 'expelling' is: expelling from the Sanghavasesa offense. The meaning of 'relieving the patient's breath' is: asking about the patient's illness.
