Then, starting from the elders, distribute down to the youngest, understanding the meaning. Like this, starting from the elders, because it is said, "Distribute what is obtained." "Large seats should also be arranged" means: a seat of large size is a large seat, those that can accommodate bedding. Therefore, such large seats should also be arranged for the elders. "Mats also" means that they should also be arranged. Here, the scripture says, therefore, large seats should also be arranged according to the order of seniority, and even mats should be arranged in this way. Do not give the monastic residence covered by the Sangha to anyone whose nature is to be defiled by an unclean novice, meaning: the monastic residence of the Sangha, such as beds, covered with clothes, etc., should not be given to those whose residence is defiled by a novice with diarrhea or uncleanliness. The word "anyone" means that not only the allocation of residence, but also other things should not be given. Do not give the nun's bedding either, meaning: the monastic residence of the Sangha is defiled by an unclean nun, and no one should give it to anyone with such a nature. Here, if the residence is spacious, give her a temple on the side, meaning: if the back of the residence of the bhikkhu's temple is spacious, give it to the nun's own Sangha, those who do not have a summer retreat house, and who live elsewhere due to thieves and other causes, and cannot make a living, give them a residence on the side of the bhikkhu's temple. The remaining residence, even the bad ones should be given, meaning: related to the bhikkhuni, it should be connected to "giving to the bhikkhuni", the monastic residence of the Sangha, bedding and mats, etc., even down to small tables and copper basins, should be specially distributed to all bhikkhus. If there is any remaining, then distribute the bad ones among them to the bhikkhunis. In this way, in the Sangha that distributes residences, after the elders have distributed the residences in order, they say to everyone: None of you should use the Sangha's residence without a cushion, it is not allowed to use it without a cushion, cushion

The so-called "should not use a stained mat" should be understood as: In order to urge and emphasize the monks, because there is a precept that monks should not use monastic bedding and cushions, etc. that are without mats, unsuitable for mats, and stained. The so-called "check twice a month and observe separately" means: After the monks have obtained a residence, the residence manager should check and observe it twice a month. The so-called "If one violates the vow and uses it, one should inform the others in the residence and take it back from the Sangha" means: If someone violates the previously declared vow, such as "None of you should use a Sangha residence without a mat," etc., if this happens, if he is a disciple or attendant living in the monastery, then his Khenpo or Acharya should be informed, and then the Sangha should take back the residence. If he is someone else who does not live in the monastery, then the Sangha should be informed, and then the Sangha should take back the residence. After the residence manager reports the residence to the Sangha on the fifteenth day of each month, he should say: "Sangha, tomorrow so-and-so benefactor and so-and-so attendant, and the residents of so-and-so village and so-and-so nurse will agree to reside." The so-called "should say so" means: It should be said so in the middle of summer or at the end of summer. If the monks who have become Sangha members should also observe separately and promise to reside at that time, how should they do so? Therefore, in order not to generate and eliminate regret and other suffering and unpleasantness, and in order to generate and protect happiness and joy, and in order to separately observe that the nurse herself comes from a pure behavior owner, one should observe the residence, dwelling place, alms, and medicine offerings, etc., and then promise to reside. After saying "should promise to reside," (saying) not generating regret and suffering other than regret, and unpleasantness, and eliminating the generated (suffering), these pure...
