Living in a monastery, if one takes food from outside the monastery, whatever it may be, eating it will incur an offense. If protection is established, it is halved, which means that when the forest becomes free from fear, if the donors establish protection, then eating food in the monastery outside the monastery is halved, that is, committing a minor offense. Entering a place with fear is also the same, which means that if one lives outside the monastery of the temple, outside the place known as a place with fear, and then eats, it is also halved, and for the sake of following this, the word "also" is spoken. Here, the teachings of the previous sutra and this one are, if a monk temporarily takes food outside the monastery with his own hands, and also drives away thieves, and also allows the donors to enter the monastery in peace, then what offense will be committed? The answer is: committing a minor offense, which is the teaching of the previous sutra. If one eats in the remaining place, what offense will be committed? The answer is: committing a minor offense, which is the teaching of this sutra. The first of the confessable offenses of taking food from a bhikkhuni, because "oneself" is mentioned, the others are depreciating. For the second and other three confessable offenses, because "oneself" is not mentioned, taking it through letters or dispatch is also the same offense. The fourth confessable offense arising from observing the forest has been explained. The matters to be confessed have been completed, and the four dharmas to be confessed have been explained. After speaking of the dharmas to be confessed, now it is said: There are seven kinds of lower garments, and there are also three kinds of upper garments, there are five kinds of extreme restraints, and there are five kinds of head coverings. In order to collect many learned dharmas in the order after the dharmas to be confessed, it is said that one should wear the lower garment in such a way that it remains round.
