If one claims to be a Bhikshu without having taken the Upasaka vow, or claims to be a Bhikshu without having taken the Bhikshu vow, it will only result in a minor offense, and the precepts will not arise. Here, the text refers to whether one should say "has taken the full ordination" or "has not taken the full ordination" if one gives full ordination to a monastic layman who has not been ordained. The Blessed One said: The Upasaka has taken the full ordination, and those who give them full ordination will incur a minor offense. Even if one has not requested a Khenpo, it is the same, meaning that even if one gives full ordination without requesting a Khenpo, the precepts will definitely arise. Even if one has not asked about obstacles, it is the same, meaning that even if one gives full ordination without asking about obstacles, the precepts will definitely arise. Even if one gives it to someone who does not possess it, it is the same, meaning that even if one does not possess the qualities of an obstacle, if the recipient claims that he has the qualities of an obstacle, then even if one gives him the precepts, the precepts will definitely arise, and only a minor offense will remain. Here, the text refers to whether one should say "has taken the full ordination" or "has not taken the full ordination" if, from the beginning, a monk temporarily does not possess the qualities of an obstacle and claims that he does not possess the qualities of an obstacle, and then one gives him full ordination. The Blessed One said: The Upasaka has taken the full ordination, and those who give them full ordination will incur a serious offense. Here, it should be known that obstacles are hindrances to the precepts. For women who resemble men and men who resemble women, if their gender characteristics have not changed, it is the same, meaning that if a woman is like a man or a man is like a woman, but their gender characteristics have not changed, then it should be known that the precepts will definitely arise. In order to eliminate the fault that gender characteristics have not changed and should not be prevented, it is said, "This is abandoned by hand defects, etc.," meaning that women who are like men and men who are like women are abandoned by the aforementioned hand defects, etc.

It is like this. For example, the sutra says, "Such people should be prohibited by the great sage." By saying "such people," it should be understood that this also includes what is said here. Here it is taught that just as those with crippled hands, etc., should not be ordained, similarly, women who resemble men and men who resemble women should also not be ordained. If they are ordained, they will commit a serious offense. To indicate other prohibited cases, it is said, "Those with the characteristics of sin, and those born from other continents, those with different appearances are also." It should be known that those with the characteristics of sin, and those born from other continents, those with different appearances, these two types of people are also prohibited like those with crippled hands, etc. The rule regarding those with the characteristics of sin is: if a monk gives full ordination to a monk with sinful characteristics, is it said that he has received full ordination, or is it said that he has not received full ordination? The Buddha said: The one nearby has received full ordination, but those who give full ordination to monks will commit a minor offense. The rule regarding those born from other continents is: if a monk from Jambudvipa gives full ordination to someone from Purvavideha in the east, is it said that he has received full ordination, or is it said that he has not received full ordination? The Buddha said: The one nearby has received full ordination, but those who give full ordination will commit a serious offense. Similarly, it is also said that it should be applied extensively like a wheel. If it is said "those born from other continents," then the difference in appearance is already established, so why is it said that the appearance is different? In order to distinguish it, it is said that the appearance is different, in order to make people aware of the most important reason. Therefore, it should be known that even for those born from the same continent, things like dog-like faces and wearing earrings are prohibited. For those born from other continents, it is also taught that they should be ordained if their appearance is similar, just as even though they are from other continents, those born from small continents are not prohibited. Here, the term "different appearance" refers to differences in the shape of the mouth, nose, etc.

It should be known that this is the case. Furthermore, in order to generally show the faults that have not been shown, such as having one nail, hands like folded letters, half of the body atrophied, small head, disheveled hair, hunchback, leaning back, both leaning back and hunchbacked, six fingers, adhesion, being mute, eyelashes turning inward, like a mongoose, like an owl, inverted, mixed in the middle, lung disease, hernia, round, big eyes, having moles, having warts, having pockmarks, yellow ears, white ears, red ears, hollow, dog's penis with scabies, big buttocks, huge, testicles hidden in the abdomen, foolish, without a tongue, one arm, non-existent, blue hair, head like an elephant's head, like a horse's head, like a dog's head, like a cow's head, like a sheep's head, like a deer's head, like a fish's head, like a snake's head, long, many, neck like a palm tree, swollen, behavior exhausted, these people are not sick. Others say it is due to illness. Those mentioned in the sutras such as having one nail, among which those that are not having one nail, small head, disheveled hair, etc., those are faults caused by having short hands, etc., because they are similar to those. Those that are diseases, such as hands like folded letters, half of the body atrophied, hunchback, leaning back, both leaning back and hunchbacked, etc., those are because they are sick. Isn't it a disease? That is a fault, so to speak, the general meaning here is like that. Next, the meaning of the branches will be explained. The so-called having one nail refers to someone who only has one nail, that is having one nail. The so-called hands like folded letters refers to the limbs of the body being like folded letters. Like this, his hands and arms are both in the direction of the shoulders, like looking at letters, sticking together like a folded shape, therefore it is called hands like folded letters. The so-called half of the body atrophied refers to which half of the body
