If some laypeople or ordained people come to the monastery, the monk should say "Welcome" to the visitor, and the visitor should greet them kindly before speaking. "Should have a bright face" means: one should be very happy and not frown. "Should smile first" means: the monk should first smile at the visitor, showing a slight joy. "Should be without anger" means: whoever comes, there should be no anger, and that is how it should be. If there is a layperson, one should speak to them about Dharma. This means: if a layperson comes to the monastery, the monk should speak to the layperson about Dharma. "(The monk) living near the village, if (laypeople) do not come, should try to persuade them to be happy" means: the monk living near the village lives in the monastery, and if (laypeople) do not come to the monastery, then, in order to make them happy, one should try to persuade them with food and drink, etc., within one's ability, without violating one's ability, according to the extent of one's ability, which is the meaning of "persuasion." "Water and seats should be provided" means: the people of the monastery should also provide water and seats for the visitors. "The cleaning tools, the laying of beds and cushions, and the placing of water, distributing food, and serving rice should all be done by the newly ordained" means: the cleaning tools, etc., should be done by the newly ordained. The cleaning of residences, etc., should also be done by the newly ordained. The laying of beds and cushions in the Sangha's room should also be done by this newly ordained person. Wherever the monks arrive, they should do so there. If the service behavior is inconsistent, if it does not cause harm to oneself and others, it should be left alone. This means: it should be left alone. "Inconsistent service behavior" means: the manner of service that is not in accordance with the rules, and does not lead to bad consequences, such as offering statues of fierce deities, etc. "If it does not cause harm to oneself and others" means: this behavior does not harm good.

It will not become a cause of harm to oneself, nor will it become a cause of harm to other local residents. "To abide as is comfortable" means that one should abide in a state of abandonment. If one is able to do so, one should cut off those (bad behaviors), generate (behaviors) that are in accordance with the Dharma, and then consult with those (behaviors that are in accordance with the Dharma), meaning: If one agrees to do this thing in that way, it will become harmful to oneself and others; if (things) become harmful to oneself and others, even if one is able to do it, one must cut off those discordant actions of the servants. Generate the intention for the servants' actions that are in accordance with the Dharma, such as hanging rosaries in the temple, the five-year festival, and other actions, and then consult with the servants with those (actions that are in accordance with the Dharma) themselves. Alternatively, "generate" means to establish. "By that" means by the actions that are in accordance with the Dharma. "Consult" means to make them understand that you should do actions that are in accordance with the Dharma from now on. If, due to the basis of that (establishing actions in accordance with the Dharma), the servants are unhappy and want to migrate, then one should persuade them to return. Meaning: If, due to the basis of establishing actions in accordance with the Dharma, the servants' hearts are unhappy and become unpleasant, or if they migrate from that place in the temple to another village and want to leave, then, in any case, do not let the servants be unhappy and migrate, and also cut off those discordant actions, and persuade them to return with generosity and pleasant words, etc. If one cannot do it, one should go to another place. Meaning: If one cannot cut off the discordant actions of the servants, one should go to another place oneself. Do not argue or speak because of that matter. Meaning: Even if that bhikshu wants to go to another temple, cut off discordant actions, and because of establishing actions in accordance with the Dharma, the servants are unhappy and migrate, even if one persuades them to return, it is not possible, one should not argue and speak fighting words with the servants because of that reason. If the sangha's monastery is harmed by thieves, etc., what should be done at that time? Therefore, if the sangha's monastery is harmed, in any case
