It should be added that "not to cut hair." If asked, is this the case in all circumstances? It is not, therefore it is said, "if not free from desire." One who is free from desire may shave. The intention here is that if someone is free from desire, there will be no downfall. If one is completely stained by desire, one should be exhorted to generate aversion, this is to teach. If a man in a certain place generates desire, then the fully desire-stained bhikshuni should be exhorted to generate aversion, and taught truthfully. How to teach? One should make her remember (Tibetan: dran pa nye bar zhog cig), which means "bring mindfulness to the present." "What essence is there in this body of pus and blood?" (Tibetan: ji rnag gi lus 'di la snying po yod dam) This means, for this body of decaying nature, is there anything worth clinging to? For the shaver, one should make him remember the concepts of mother, sister, daughter, etc. This means that if the shaver generates desire for the nun's dwelling, then at this time, for the shaver who is completely stained by desire, one should exhort him to generate aversion. How to exhort? One should make him remember the concepts of mother, etc. The differences in the shaving of nuns have been discussed above. Now, in order to show the common ritual, it is said, "After doing those things, one should bathe." Here, "those things" refers to shaving and trimming facial hair. "After doing" means "after completing," one should add "bathing." Alternatively, one can also perform the five-limb bath, one should add the word "also." The word "also" here is to show other rituals, the intention here is that the bhikshu should hold the razor, and should also bathe, and even wash the hands and feet. One should not bathe naked, one should not bathe completely naked. Although wearing the three robes is not naked, here it refers to covering the genitals and the shape of the limbs, this is true covering. A bhikshuni should not bathe at the water's edge of a man.

A nun should not bathe at the water's edge where men bathe. Nor should powder be used at the water's edge where women bathe, this is a rule related to bathing. A nun bathing at the water's edge where men bathe is completely prohibited in all circumstances. At the water's edge where women bathe, the use of powder and the like for bathing is prohibited, but ordinary bathing is not prohibited. Here, the text says that a nun should not bathe with powder at the water's edge where women bathe. It is permissible to use powder made from peas and the like, which means that both monks and nuns can use powder made from peas and the like. What kind of special circumstance is it? It is when it is mixed, meaning mixed with musk and the like. That is acceptable, meaning that the mixed powder can be owned. A sick person can use powder mixed with medicine, meaning that a sick person can use powder mixed with medicine. A nun should not sprinkle powder on women, meaning that a nun should not sprinkle powder on women during bathing or at other times. Because it is said that one should not bathe naked, therefore, in order to avoid nudity, it is also mentioned that one should not climb a ladder after tying the ends of the lower garment's front and back edges. That is, if a monk does not tie the ends of the lower garment's front and back edges, then that monk is one who has tied the ends of the lower garment's front and back edges, and he should not climb a ladder. The thing without an end is the end itself. Not tied means not fastened. Mentioning a ladder is an example, and climbing trees and the like should be treated in the same way. This statement is to completely avoid seeing the private parts. One should not do that at other times, other times meaning at times other than climbing ladders and the like. Doing that means tying the ends of the lower garment's front and back edges. Should not do means it is not necessary to do so. Here it is explained that one should untie the knot immediately after coming down from the ladder. The mouth is also a private...
