Apart from that, the hair of other limbs and details should not be shaved. If shaved, one will fall into the transgression of a misdeed, so it is said. Regarding shaving nose hair, there are different statements, such as, the Blessed One said that a monk should not pluck half of the nose hairs of other monks with tweezers. If a monk plucks half of the nose hairs of other monks with tweezers, it will become a serious offense, so it is said. If nose hairs should not be plucked in any way, why is plucking half of them considered a misdeed? From this, it is known that this was explicitly present in previous texts, but later disappeared. Now, the ritual of cutting nails is explained: nails should be cut like the edge of a razor or like the mouth of an axe. This means that nails should be cut like the edge of a razor, with the edges low and the middle high, or like the mouth of an axe, with the middle and edges level. They should not be made to swell, meaning that the nails should not be made to swell. It is thought that filing nails is also completely prohibited, so it is said that for the purpose of removing dirt, one should file. For the purpose of removing dirt, one should file and trim, filing only as much as is necessary to remove the dirt. One should not shave hair and beard while wearing religious robes. Here, although all clothes are referred to as religious robes, here it refers to the upper robe, not the lower skirt. If even the lower skirt were prohibited, then one would have to shave naked, so here it is the upper robes that are all prohibited. With what should one shave hair? One should carry a hair-catching cloth, meaning that one should carry a cloth for catching hair, so that the hair can be caught with it. This is for wearing, not for spreading, because if there is none, one should use a dust-cloth. If there is none, one should use a dust-cloth, meaning that if there is no hair-catching cloth, one should wear a dust-cloth to shave hair and beard. One should also not spread it out, meaning that one should not shave hair and beard.

O. Here, the scripture says that a Bhikshu should not sit on the ground to shave his hair. Even if shaving is allowed in the residence, courtyard, and gatehouse, the same offense will be committed. The Blessed One once taught: Hair should not be shaved in the place where the Sangha sweeps the floor. If shaving is done, a serious offense will be committed. Similarly, for elderly and weak Bhikshus and those who cannot tolerate illness, they should be allowed to shave their hair in the courtyard or other places. For those who live in comfort, if the weather is hot or it is raining and they cannot go outside, they should also be allowed to shave their hair in the courtyard or other places. The scripture says: Hair should also not be shaved in the place where the Sangha sweeps the floor. It means that hair should not be shaved in the place where the Sangha sweeps the floor, that is, in the temple where the Sangha sweeps, such as sweeping fallen leaves. For the elderly, the sick, wind, sun, and rain, they should be allowed to shave their hair in the courtyard and other places. The word "other places" in "courtyard and other places" includes residences and gatehouses. The scripture teaches in this way: The elderly and those who cannot tolerate illness, as well as patients who are unable to get sick, should be allowed to shave their hair in the courtyard and other places. For wind, sun, and rain, everyone should do so. The scripture says: That place should be cleaned. It means that the place where the hair is shaved should be cleaned, that is, it should be cleaned up. Cleaning means removing hair and removing soil that has been wetted by water. If you ask where the shaved hair should be thrown? Therefore, the scripture says: The hair should be thrown in the garbage heap. It means that the hair should be thrown in the place where the garbage is piled up. The scripture says: Cutting nails should also be the same. It means that nails should be cut according to the ritual of shaving hair. The scripture says: If she has not cut off greed, then a woman who has not been admonished by a Bhikshuni should not shave her hair. Among them, "she" refers to the Bhikshuni. "Not being admonished by a Bhikshuni" refers to a woman who is not protected by other Bhikshunis.
