Now, what is to be done is regarding the perfectly complete Buddha, and the Bhikshu Arhat who has exhausted the outflows, and the king of royal lineage who has been empowered from the crown of the head, and the abbot and disciplinarian of the Sangha, thus it is proclaimed. Among them, the Buddha is the same as the Sangha. The one called the spokesman of the Sangha is his mouth, through the first two sutras, contradicting the teachings of the perfectly complete Buddha and the words of the disciplinarian of the Sangha, it is shown as a downfall. This sutra, regarding the remaining three, the king of royal lineage who has been empowered from the crown of the head, and the Bhikshu Arhat who has exhausted the outflows, and the words of the abbots of the Sangha, contradicting them, it is shown as a misdeed. Committing a downfall with disrespect, this has already been explained. If one does what, does it become a downfall of drinking intoxicants? Therefore, it is said, "Drinking intoxicants," that is, drinking intoxicating beverages. If one boils it, it loses its potency from itself, regarding this, if one boils intoxicants, then it loses its potency from the intoxicant itself. Here the treatise says that there is no downfall in drinking boiled intoxicants. Eating the dregs and sediment has its effect, that is, eating the dregs and sediment has the effect of intoxicants, this is the concluding statement. Dregs refer to the dregs of grain alcohol. Sediment refers to the sediment of processed alcohol. Here the treatise says that if one eats dregs, one commits a downfall. If one eats sediment, one commits a downfall. Liquor made from yeast is half, that is, half of being intoxicating, it is a misdeed. The roots and stems and leaves and flowers and fruits that are intoxicating are also, that is, half of being intoxicating. Beverages that have the smell and taste of intoxicants, those that do not intoxicate are also, also half of being intoxicating. Merely the color being similar to intoxicants, there is no downfall, that is, here the treatise says that merely the color being similar to intoxicants, there is no downfall.

It is said that it is said so. Chewing grain and the thread of the body are like a union, meaning that the chewing grain that becomes intoxicated and the resulting thread of the body should be understood as like a union, which is the act of making a mistake. For the sick person, there is no falling, meaning that the sick person chewing grain and the thread of the body, doing these is not falling. Here, the classic is through the doctor's citation, chewing grain and the thread of the body are not falling, it is said so. That is like a union, which is the source of the early scriptures. Regarding drinking and becoming intoxicated will lead to falling, it has been said. In non-time walking will lead to falling, who is that actor? Therefore, it is said "knowing is the main thing." Here, the name "knowing is the main thing" should also be combined with the name "the actor who takes consciousness as the main thing." For whom is the actor who takes consciousness as the main thing? Therefore, it is said "for non-time itself." For the realm of non-time, it is the actor who takes consciousness as the main thing. The characteristic of non-time, it has been explained before when eating at non-time, from one's own midnight passing to the rising of dawn is non-time. What kind of bhikkhu is that actor? Therefore, it is said "for the bhikkhu who does not tell the abiding." Whoever does not tell the abiding bhikkhu, that is not telling the abiding bhikkhu, for him, it is the actor who takes consciousness as the main thing. What did he do, that bhikkhu is the actor who takes consciousness as the main thing? Therefore, it is said "entering the village." Because it is said that the single courtyard dwelling is also a village, therefore, the dwelling with only one house is also a village. For the place where the villagers' dharma is possessed and especially resided, the word village will be used, therefore, there is no fault in entering the dwelling of non-Buddhist renunciants without telling. For a walled village, entering until the gate is closed should be understood as completely entering. For a village without a wall, to the end of the wall, one fathom.
