在此，从每一个不同的行为中，分别安立每一个不同的堕落。什么是挖掘或教唆挖掘呢？因此说“土地的土”，是土地自性的土，不是沙子、石头、灰尘、砖块和石头等的自性。这是它的定义。是否所有时候这两种过失都会发生呢？因此说：“如果没有用手掌的星算来允许，除了插入四指长的木桩”。意思是说，如果比丘用手掌的星算来绘制寺庙等的线条时，不能超过时间，那时如果没有其他适合于允许未受具足戒者的理由，那么那时除了在地上插入四指长的木桩之外，对于那个是没有过错的。这是它的定义。什么样的土地会变成什么样的过失呢？因此说：“如果是自性，则是根本”。意思是说，如果是自性形成的土地，挖掘或教唆挖掘，则成为根本。自性是指坚固地存在。如果不是，则是恶作”，意思是说，如果不是自性形成的土地，挖掘或教唆挖掘，则是恶作，对于不坚固的没有堕落，这样说的。自性是指：什么样的是自性？什么样的是非自性呢？因此说：“最早的是三个月成熟的坚固”。意思是说，最早的自性是指最初坚固之后，损坏的部分经过三个月，再次坚固并恢复原状的时候，称为自性。是否所有时候都以那么长的时间变成自性呢？因此说：“如果雨水潮湿”。意思是说，当天气变得潮湿，并且反复下雨的时候，三个月的时间土地就会变成自性。其他时候需要几个月才能变成自性呢？因此说：“其他时候是六个月”。意思是说，在天气不潮湿的其他时候，需要六个月的时间才能变成自性。要知道墙壁不是土地本身

Here, from each different action, each different downfall is established separately. What is digging or causing to dig? Therefore, it is said, "The earth of the earth," meaning it is the earth of the nature of earth, not the nature of sand, stone, dust, bricks, and stones, etc. This is its definition. Do these two faults always occur? Therefore, it is said, "If it is not allowed by the calculation of the stars with the hand, except for inserting a stake of four fingers' length." It means that if a monk uses the calculation of the stars with the hand to draw lines for temples, etc., he must not exceed the time, and if at that time there is no other suitable reason to allow one who has not taken full ordination, then at that time, except for inserting a stake of about four fingers' length into the ground, there is no fault in that. This is its definition. What kind of earth becomes what kind of fault? Therefore, it is said, "If it is of its own nature, then it is fundamental." It means that if it is earth formed by its own nature, digging it or causing it to be dug becomes fundamental. "Of its own nature" means existing firmly. "If it is not, then it is a misdeed," meaning that if it is not earth formed by its own nature, digging it or causing it to be dug is a misdeed, and there is no downfall for what is not firm, so it is said. "Of its own nature" means: What kind is of its own nature? What kind is not of its own nature? Therefore, it is said, "The earliest is the firm one that has matured for three months." It means that the earliest "of its own nature" refers to when the parts that were damaged after being initially firm have passed three months, and have become firm again and returned to their original state, then it is called "of its own nature." Does it always take that long to become of its own nature? Therefore, it is said, "If the rain is wet." It means that when the weather becomes wet and it rains repeatedly, the earth will become of its own nature in three months. How many months does it take to become of its own nature at other times? Therefore, it is said, "At other times it is six months." It means that at other times when the weather is not wet, it takes six months to become of its own nature. It should be known that a wall is not the earth itself.
