O! As for "not joking, not playing, not making loud noises, not being frivolous, not being arrogant, and not hitting the body," etc., "joking" means mocking others; "playing" means being coquettish; "making loud noises" means emitting a very loud sound; "being frivolous" means stretching out arms and legs, etc.; "being arrogant" means making others tired; "hitting the body" means pushing each other while joking, these should not be done. As for "not changing the posture of body and speech with a frivolous mind," it means not changing the posture of body and speech with a frivolous mind. Here, the scripture comes from the Leather Basis: A monk skilled in crafts washed his feet at the ankles, filled his mouth with water, and sat in the posture of a peacock; the Six Groups of monks sang songs, composing musical songs. At that time, the monks reported to the Blessed One, and the Buddha Blessed One asked that monk: Monk, with what kind of mind did you do this? The monk replied: Venerable, in order to protect the dwelling, I did it slightly, and slightly with a frivolous mind. The Blessed One taught: The thought of protecting the dwelling, there is no transgression; what is done with a frivolous mind, there is a misdeed. The Six Groups of monks also reported: Venerable, I did it slightly with a contemptuous mind, and slightly with a frivolous mind. The Blessed One taught: The thought of contempt, there is no transgression; what is done with a frivolous mind, there is a misdeed. That is what was said. Regarding this, how are transgressions and non-transgressions distinguished? Is it thought that because different types of consciousness interrupt each other, different transgressions will arise? Or should everything be summarized into one, and one transgression arise? Because for those interrupted by different types, it is shown as one transgression, it is said that "mixing is like the gathering of rainwater." Afflicted and non-afflicted consciousnesses mix, and mutually interrupted by different types, this should be regarded as the gathering of rainwater, the afflicted part

That which is associated with afflictions should be combined with afflictions. Those parts that are not associated with afflictions should also be combined with those that are not associated with afflictions. Because all minds arising from arrogance have the same point of entry, they are the cause of a single downfall. For example, in the case of killing and so forth, although the types of minds involved in the action differ, the resolutions made are also different, but they are all the cause of a single downfall. Although the types differ, the resolutions are made because the continuity of the action is not interrupted. It is said that one should not perform the act of eating by passing a vessel, meaning that one should not do as drinkers do, passing a drinking vessel to each other to drink. It is said that one should not pass on flower earrings, meaning that one should not pass on ornaments made of flowers and so forth. This is an elaboration of "one should not pursue crafts." It is said that one should not put on, meaning that one should not put flower earrings on the body and wear them. This negates all acts of wearing garlands. It is said that one should not give alms that come from flattery. What is meant by that which comes from flattery is the reward given to performers when one looks at their faces and is pleased; a monk should not give such things. It is said that one should not run without restraint, meaning that one should not run without control. It is said that one should not be quick and jump, what is meant by quick is to go fiercely. What is meant by jumping is to go jumping; these should not be done. It is said that one should not turn the thighs and arms like a fish, what is meant by turning the thighs is to put one thigh down and then turn the body. What is meant by turning the arms is to raise the arms and then turn the body. What is meant by turning like a fish is to roll sideways like a fish; one should not turn in that way. It is said that one should not drive pegs into the water, meaning that one should not drive pegs that are floating in the water into the water. It is said that one should not beat the water like beating a single-faced drum or a large drum, meaning that one should not beat the water and make sounds like beating a single-faced drum or a large drum. It is said that one should not smear slippery powder on mud, meaning that one should not smear slippery powder on wet mud.
