If there is fear from thieves, etc., if hiding or carrying one's own belongings does not cause harm, then the Sangha's property and the stupa's gold and silver should also be hidden or carried away. If it would cause harm, in order not to waste one's own utensils, one should first hide or entrust one's own Dharma-related items. Here, the scripture refers to monks carrying the Sangha's belongings, giving them to laypeople and novices, and they carrying them away and running away. The Blessed One taught: The monk should carry it away himself, and when the monastery is still there, he should give it there. Etc., all the way to what (the scripture) says. Monks carried the Sangha's belongings, and their bowls and robes were scattered. At that time, the monks reported to the Blessed One. The Blessed One taught: It should not be done like that, because the individual will become poor, but the Sangha will not change, therefore the monk should first entrust his own bowl and robes, and if possible, he should also strive for the Sangha's (belongings) later. The stupa's (belongings) are also the same. So it is said. Who hides or carries (belongings) in fear? Therefore, it should be said that it is done by a faithful layperson or a novice. Even if the novice's faith is not mentioned, it is already established. If there are none (of them), do it yourself. It means that if neither of these two people is there, one should hide or carry it away oneself. Digging there means that in the place of hiding and entrusting, the layperson and the faithful person or the novice should dig. If neither of these two people is there, do it yourself. If it is entrusted, how should one dig? Because the king's property is hidden underground or obstructed by something, it also needs to be dug. If one is free (from danger), give. It means that if one is free from fear, one should give in the place where one hid or carried it. Taking out is also the same as that. It means that just like the ritual of hiding and entrusting shown before, taking out the property from underground should also be understood as similar to that, and it should be taken out by a faithful layperson or a novice. If neither of these two people is there, do it yourself. Non-human

In the abode of non-humans (Nāga, Sanskrit: Nāga, Romanized Sanskrit: Nāga, literal meaning: dragon), if the precious nature of the land and stairs, etc., produced by the merit of those (non-humans) is without fault, this refers to: In the abode of non-humans, gods, and dragons, etc., those (non-humans) have the precious nature of the land and stairs, etc., produced by the merit of constructing the world, if touching, etc., is without fault. For food, if there are no other utensils, those made of precious jewels are also acceptable, which refers to: For food, if there are no other utensils made of copper, etc., those made of precious jewels are also without fault. Also, the tone of the word "also" is to follow the statement that in the abode of non-humans, if the precious nature produced by the merit of those (non-humans) is without fault. To stay for sitting is also acceptable, which refers to: For sitting, seats of precious nature are also without fault. Also, the tone of the word "also" is to follow the statements such as "in the abode of non-humans" and "if there are no others." Here, the scripture is: Monks, when going to the abodes of gods and dragons, those (gods and dragons) invite them (monks) to eat there, and in the abodes of those (gods and dragons) there are utensils made of gold, etc., and if there are no other (utensils), those (monks) will regret and not eat, therefore the Blessed One said: Monks, therefore, where no other utensils can be found, it is permissible to eat in utensils made of gold, etc., do not regret this. Similarly, those (monks) find beds and cushions made of precious jewels there and do not sit, the Blessed One said: Those are produced by the merit of those sentient beings, therefore one should sit on them. One should go by riding (vehicles), which refers to: One should go by riding elephant vehicles, etc. By the power of the purpose that accords with the Dharma, refers to: For the sake of the need that does not deviate from the Dharma, is the power of the purpose that accords with the Dharma. Its essence is just that, therefore. To go by riding (vehicles) for the sake of accomplishing the need that accords with the Dharma, this is the concluding statement. Regarding this, one should also not do it with decoration and splendor.
