That matter has been explained. So, what would cause one to commit a transgression by wearing uncolored clothes? Therefore, it is said that if one enjoys one's own clothes without changing the color with blue, red, or maroon, even the cover of the alms bowl, the container, the foot wraps, the belts, etc., then it is said. The so-called blue is an example of a color that arises. The so-called red is the element of earth. The so-called maroon is an example of flowers and fruits. The word "or" indicates taking any one of these three. The so-called uncolored means changing the color with any of these. The so-called one's own clothes is because using other people's clothes would be a fault and would be blamed, so one's own is mentioned. The so-called "even" indicates that there is no need to mention large items such as Dharma robes. The so-called cover of the alms bowl refers to the item that covers the alms bowl. The so-called container is the container for the alms bowl. The so-called foot wraps are for wrapping the feet. The so-called belts, etc., refer to belts and whips, etc. The so-called wearing refers to the general category of clothing. The word "etc." indicates that wearing is not limited to this, but also includes pockets, etc. It is said that one can enjoy them, but if one enjoys one's own uncolored clothes, one will commit a transgression. It seems that the water strainer should not be changed in color, because it would depend on the faults of taking water with one's hands, placing it, taking without being given, eating at the wrong time, etc. Therefore, it should be like the clothes of utensils, not to be changed in color. In the Pratimoksha Sutra, the "new clothes" mentioned should be understood as new because they are newly obtained, not new because they have not been used. Therefore, even if an old garment that has been used for a long time is newly obtained, it should not be worn without changing its color. It is said that other schools do not need to do so, which refers to the community of monks, nuns, novices, probationary nuns, and novice nuns.

Those retinues are called sangha. It is not necessary to make any other sangha's clothes that one uses oneself pure again. 'The stealing of a householder is also not necessary' means: if a bhikkhu obtains clothes that have already been stolen by a householder and have already been made pure, then it is not necessary to make them pure again. Here, the discussion of these two sutras is: from some requests, whatever clothes a bhikkhu has already made pure, are also already made pure for the bhikkhunis. Similarly, it is already made pure for all five groups. If a bhikkhu steals clothes from a king or an outsider or others, and later obtains them again, should they also be made pure? It is not necessary to make them pure nearby, because the previous one is already acceptable. That is what was said. 'Do not wear clothes dyed in large colors' means: do not wear clothes dyed in large colors. Here, the discussion is: bhikkhus use eight large colors, namely rouge, indigo, madder, cinnabar, safflower, indigo, turmeric, and purple ore to dye. The Blessed One taught: apart from the eight large colors, one should use some other kasaya colors to dye. 'Also do not wear the clothes of householders' means: clothes without cut edges and laces are the clothes of householders, and bhikkhus should not wear such clothes. It is also acceptable not to dye and to dye in large colors, because that is separately prohibited. 'In the temple, one should cover and wear with kasaya' means: in the temple, a bhikkhu should cover and wear that householder's clothes with kasaya on top. Here, the discussion is: a bhikkhu should not wear the clothes of householders. If there are such circumstances, one should cover kasaya on top and wear it without leaving the residence and the temple. That is what was said. 'Clothes picked up on the road are common' means: one should know that picking up a discarded garment on the road is also common with others. With whom is it common? With his
