is a half-dead thing, therefore it is a transgression. Here the scripture says that touching an unextinguished fire is a transgression. Flames are also half-dead, and the word "also" is used to follow after that. Here the scripture says that touching a flame is a transgression. There, putting in and taking out firewood is the fault of other fires, meaning that putting in and taking out firewood in unextinguished fire and flames is only the fault of other fires, not the fault of unextinguished fire and flames. Therefore, putting firewood in unextinguished fire and flames will only become a downfall. Hair, beard, bones, nails, saliva, snot, vomit, phlegm, cardamom, small cardamom, sesame, oil, honey, and butter are half of firewood, meaning that hair, etc., are half of firewood. Because they are half of firewood, putting them in or taking them out of the fire is a transgression. Here the scripture says that a monk who puts hair, beard, bones, and nails into a fire disease commits a transgression. Similarly, putting saliva, snot, vomit, and phlegm into the fire is a transgression. In the "Asking Sutra" it also says, Venerable, if a monk puts sesame, cardamom, or small cardamom into the fire, what offense does he commit? A transgression. Venerable, if a monk puts butter, oil, or honey into the fire, what offense does he commit? A transgression. Similarly, burning bones and saliva is a transgression. These are brief statements. These are also just examples, and cotton and wool, etc., are also included. Things that have the nature of burning are also the same. Blessing the affairs of others to others is half-blessing, meaning that blessing the affairs of others such as Khenpos to others such as Acharyas is half of blessing, that is, a transgression. Here the scripture says that a monk who touches the fire with the affairs of the Khenpo without blessing at the time commits a transgression, etc.

It has been said thus. All improper blessings are misdeeds. The explanation of "touching fire, a downfall" is complete. What actions lead to a downfall of retracting consent? Therefore, it is said, "If, having performed an action for the sake of a bhikshu, one speaks to retract the given consent." "For the sake of a bhikshu" refers to any necessary matter related to or in accordance with the bhikshu, which is the bhikshu's benefit. Performing an action for the bhikshu's benefit is for the sake of the bhikshu's benefit. The actions of supplication, statement, prohibition, and exhortation that are performed for the sake of the bhikshu's benefit are actions for the sake of the bhikshu's benefit. "Having done that action" means having completed it. "Having done that action, speaking to retract the given consent" means saying to the bhikshu, "Give it back, I won't give it to you," thus speaking and retracting. If one does this, It becomes a downfall of retracting consent, this is the summary statement. The explanation of "a downfall of retracting consent" is complete. Intending to speak of the downfall of sleeping with one who has not taken full ordination, it is said, "One should not sleep in a place with light, except for the moon and sun." "A place with light, except for the moon and sun," refers to a place where there is light from lamps, jewels, medicine, or other substances besides the moon and sun; that is a place with light other than the moon and sun. One should not sleep there. "Here, 'place' refers to a house, the characteristics of which will be explained below. By saying 'in the direction,' it is shown that there is no fault in sleeping in the direction of the house where there is no light. This (precept) is to avoid the carelessness of indulgence, not a prohibition for the sake of viewing. 'Do not sleep' means do not fall asleep. If one sleeps there, at the end of the night, it is a preparatory misdeed to the fundamental offense. To show a specific exception after a general statement, it is said, 'Except for the sick and those attending to the sick.' The sick

Except for sleeping there due to authority and the need to care for the sick. Some say that this is a downfall, referring to sleeping in a place with light, some Vinaya holders consider this a downfall. But this seems unreasonable, because in the differentiation, it is explicitly forbidden to sleep with those who have not taken full ordination. Therefore, a bhikshu should not sleep with those who have not taken full ordination in a house with light. If he sleeps, he commits a downfall. The mention of light is because it was made according to the fundamental rule. Just as in that differentiation, later it was established that committing a downfall without light, because Near Joy had two novices named Tsherma and Chenpoba, and he always slept with them. My Shravaka disciples should recite and study the basis of learning in this way, until (the end). It is also said that if a bhikshu sleeps with someone who has not taken full ordination in the same room for more than two nights, he commits a downfall. Having light and not having full ordination are not the same kind, because they are very different. Not sleeping means half, referring to sleeping with someone who has not taken full ordination, and watching without abandoning, following those who have abandoned, and overturning and gathering, and sleeping with women, in all these bases of learning, not sleeping refers to falling asleep in a posture other than sleeping, this is only half, the end of the night is an evil deed, and before that is a slight evil deed. Similarly, for light, if one falls asleep in a posture other than sleeping, the end of the night is a slight evil deed, and before that is a very slight one. Similarly, if a bhikshu falls asleep in a sleeping posture, and those who have not taken full ordination and women, etc., fall asleep in a posture other than sleeping, then he only commits an evil deed and will not become a downfall. Just like sleeping with a woman, if the bhikshu does not trust, but deliberately makes a sound or falls asleep.
