Again, in the center of Rudanggar resides the king. That which is called like the wings of a sky eagle, means in front of Gorudanggar resides the king. What are the limbs of the army like, and what kind of faultless form is the agent? Therefore, it is said, "The object of those who have prepared is the main action." That which is called prepared, refers to elephants and so on being armored, vehicles being arranged, banners being raised, bows being drawn, arrows being lined up, swords being drawn, and so on, it should be known. The object of those, refers to touching those, arranging and disturbing, and so on, the objects that become the cause of the main action. The main action, refers to being the faultless agent of the main action. For that action, it is a sinful act, refers to being the agent of a sinful act for the action. For the unprepared elephants and so on, for both the object and the action, it is only the agent of sinful acts. The object of those who have prepared is the main action, what is shown as the object, what should be known is what that object is? Therefore, it is said that touching and arranging and disturbing, and for the sake of seeing, rising up and exceeding the edge of the vicinity and seeing, such things are the real things. Connect with the prepared elephants and so on. Touching, refers to touching the prepared elephants and so on, that is, touching the limbs of the army, it should be known that it is a different object from the downfall of touching mentioned in the precious things. Arranging and disturbing, refers to elephants and so on moving from their location. For the sake of seeing, rising up and exceeding the edge of the vicinity and seeing, refers to a monk, for the sake of seeing the limbs of the army, rising up from his location and exceeding the edge of the nearby army, seeing the collection of limbs of the army. Like that are the real things, refers to touching and arranging and disturbing, and for the sake of seeing, rising up and exceeding the edge of the vicinity and seeing, such three forms are the real things that become the cause of the faultless main action.

English

It is said that the monk disturbed the arrangement of the elephant army, and some went to see the elephant herd, and it was also said that the monk touched the arrangement of the elephant army, etc. "Those who are not equipped are inferior," and those who are not equipped refer to those members of the army who are not enthusiastic about fighting and are not prepared. "Then it is inferior" means a sin that is slightly lighter than the fundamental sin, which is synonymous with "committed." Regarding the three precepts of watching the army, being in the army, and experiencing the members of the army, for those who are not prepared for war, it is a committed offense in the situation of fundamental sin, and in the situation of committed offense, it will become a minor committed offense. One should not engage in, drive, or watch activities such as elephants, horses, chickens, quails, partridges, and men and women fighting. That is to say, one should not engage in, drive, or watch elephant fights. Similarly, one should not engage in, drive, or watch horses, chickens, quails, partridges, and men and women fighting. Here, one should not hold elephants, etc. that are members of the army. Experiencing the members of the army will commit a downfall, which has already been explained. If you do something, will you commit the downfall of beating? Therefore, it is said: If with an angry mind, one uses the body, or something thrown by the body, or anything related to the body, even a toe, mustard seed, or grass, to beat another monk. The mind that harbors anger is an angry mind. Its entity is itself, that is, it is used to beat. If you beat someone? Therefore, it is said "monk." If you beat the monk himself? Therefore, it is said "others," that is, not oneself but others. What do you use to beat? Therefore, it is said "the body, or something thrown by the body, or related to the body," etc. With the body, that is, with the hands, etc. Something thrown by the body, that is, stones, etc.

With clods of earth, etc. That which is called related to the body is with sticks, etc. Since it appears as not being eaten by demons, there should be no fault from striking. Not only does it change here, but like this, anything is said, etc. Even striking with the heel of the foot, mustard seeds, or grass is the same. This is to show the extent of the striking instrument. Even if striking with something smaller than that, there is no blame when falling. It is also the same for other situations. The phrase "Under the basis of learning, when a bad situation is struck, when will it cause the other to swell" should also be used together. If after striking, when it swells, is that the root offense, or at the moment of striking? Therefore, the word "touch" is spoken. If touching the body, etc., at the moment of touching, it becomes the root offense. If there are many striking instruments, does it only constitute one fall? Therefore, it is said "for each striking instrument." For each striking instrument, it constitutes one fall. For example, how many striking instruments such as fingers touch a monk, that many falls are constituted. If not touched, then a minor offense is committed. If what should be struck is other, then other should not be struck. If what should be struck is other, it refers to the mind that should be struck. Other should not be struck, it refers to not striking one's own body. This statement is made to prevent a disturbed person from striking their own body. Therefore, the scripture here is that a monk should strike other, and should not strike other. One should not strike a pillar, which means one should not strike a pillar with a disturbed mind. Walls, land, trees, and other things should also not be struck, which means one should not strike walls, land, trees, and other things such as doors and windows with a disturbed mind. Striking for the purpose of destroying fruit, that is destroying the collection of elements.
