It should also be added that "is also the offender of transgression." If a monk sits for obvious reasons, or stands for hidden reasons, (other) monks provide viewing and listening, thereby casting their minds to other dwellings outside the dwelling, this is also the offender of transgression. From here onwards, the meaning of the remaining parts of the two downfall offenses will be explained. So, to what extent are these two trainings the same dwelling? Therefore, it is said: "Here, up to the end of the visible realm of activity, is the end of the dwelling." It means that for these two trainings, up to the end of the visible realm of activity, that is, the end of the range that the eyes can reach, is the end of the dwelling, and up to that point belongs to the same dwelling. It is said: "The storeroom belongs to the scope (of the house)." It means that the storeroom is connected to the house of the nature of the corridor, and belongs to the same scope, that is, the same dwelling. It is said: "Other houses are different." It means that other houses besides the sleeping house are called other houses. If a monk sits in the upper part of the door of another house or in the corridor, etc., and sees two people having sex or approaching in the sleeping house, if the food is different, then the dwelling is also different. If the food is the same, then the dwelling is also the same. Regarding the downfall offense of standing in a house preparing to sleep, it has been explained. Now wanting to talk about the downfall offense of giving to the naked, it is said: "Whether male or female." It should be connected with the following "naked without sexual organs and monastic appearance." In order to first generally explain and then specifically exclude, it is said: "Except for relatives, those who rely on ordination, and the sick." It means that a naked person without sexual organs and monastic appearance, if he is a relative, relies on ordination, or is sick, is not included here. Here, please ask, is there a situation where a monk gives food and condiments from his hand to a naked person, and he will not commit a downfall offense? Yes, that is, giving to relatives, relying on ordination, and the sick.

It is said that there is no transgression. What kind of situation is that? Therefore, it is said: "The naked one without this sign and ordination," meaning that for someone who does not have this sign, it means not having this sign. Similarly, for someone who does not have this ordination, it means not having this ordination, that is, the ordination of non-Buddhists. Giving to the ordination of non-Buddhists. Where to give? Therefore, it is said: "The body or related to the body," meaning that for the body of that naked person, such as the hands, etc., or related to the body, such as the alms bowl, etc. What kind of things to give? Therefore, it is said: "What should be prepared and what should be eaten." Is it any kind of form? Therefore, it is said: "Suitable," meaning, suitable for whom? Therefore, it is said: "For oneself and for him," meaning, "oneself" refers to oneself who causes the transgression to arise. "For him" refers to: for that naked person who should be given alms. Here the scripture is: If a monk temporarily, upon request, gives food or supplies that are not suitable for a monk or nun to a naked person, what transgression will be committed? Answer: It is a misdeed. If food or supplies that are not suitable for them are given to them, what transgression will be committed? Answer: It is a misdeed. Is it given for any purpose? Therefore, it is said: "Except for the sake of severing the views of the wicked," meaning, except for giving alms for that purpose. Here the scripture is: It is said that for those who want to sever the views of the wicked, there is no transgression. If one follows what, will giving alms to a naked person become a transgression? Therefore, it is said: "Giving alms oneself," meaning, if one gives alms oneself. Those that are not suitable are misdeeds, meaning, for food and supplies that are not suitable for oneself and them, if one gives alms oneself, it is a misdeed. If one causes others to give alms as well, meaning, what should be prepared and what should be eaten, or clothes and other things that should be given as alms, if one causes others to give alms to them, it is also a misdeed. Then let giving alms
