我应当在生物界较少的地方洗涤。这里所说的“会变成严重的违犯”，应当理解为会变成堕罪，因为使用了有生物的水。使用有生物的水，名为“分别”，这个“分别”是从分别的章节中出现的，已经讲完了。现在要讲述与很好地过滤有生物的水等相关的细微之处等所说的话，即“应当安设悬挂的滤水器”。所谓“悬挂的滤水器”，是为了过滤水，用三根木棍支撑起来的滤水器，叫做“悬挂的滤水器”，应当持有它。为了显示悬挂的滤水器自身的体性，说了“应当放置在容器上方的虚空中，并且盛装、过滤水的容器，是具有安放滤水器的铁钉的三根木棍，那就是它”。所谓“具有三根木棍，那就是它”，是指交错连接的。所谓“悬挂的滤水器”，应当理解为是滤水器、三角形等物品。如果问有什么不同之处，因此说了“容器的”等等。它是盛装的容器，所以叫做“盛装容器”，在哪个三根木棍上有瓶子等，那就是盛装容器。所谓“盛装容器上方的虚空”，是指属于三根木棍内部的虚空，那就是盛装容器上方的虚空。“应当放置在那个虚空中”，是指应当放置在那个虚空中，盛装并执持的滤水器等。如果问盛装什么，是盛装灌注和过滤的水。所谓“灌注”，是指要倒入滤水器的水，以及“要过滤的水”，是指要完全过滤的水，盛装这两者的是盛装容器上方的虚空，应当放置在那里，盛装灌注和过滤的水。盛装的就是滤水器，过滤的滤水器、三角形等就是滤水器，盛装的就是那个滤水器，它应当放置在盛装容器上方的虚空中

I should wash in a place where there are fewer creatures. Here, what is said as "will become a serious violation" should be understood as becoming a downfall, because of using water with creatures. Using water with creatures, called "distinguishing," this "distinguishing" appears from the chapter on distinguishing, which has already been explained. Now, I will speak about what is said in relation to things like filtering water with creatures well, such as minor details, namely, "the hanging filter should be set up." The so-called "hanging filter" is a filter supported by three wooden sticks for the purpose of filtering water, called a "hanging filter," and it should be held. To show the nature of the hanging filter itself, it is said, "It should be placed in the space above the container, and the container that holds and filters the water is the one with three wooden sticks with iron nails for placing the filter, that is it." The so-called "having three wooden sticks, that is it," refers to being connected in a crisscross manner. The so-called "hanging filter" should be understood as being a filter, a triangular object, etc. If asked what the difference is, therefore it is said, "of the container" etc. It is a container for holding, so it is called a "holding container," on which three wooden sticks there are bottles etc., that is the holding container. The so-called "the space above the holding container" refers to the space belonging to the inside of the three wooden sticks, that is the space above the holding container. "It should be placed in that space," refers to the filter etc. that should be placed in that space, holding and grasping. If asked what it holds, it holds the water to be poured and filtered. The so-called "pouring" refers to the water to be poured into the filter, and "the water to be filtered" refers to the water to be completely filtered, what holds these two is the space above the holding container, it should be placed there, holding the water to be poured and filtered. What holds it is the filter, the filtering filter, the triangular object etc. is the filter, what holds it is that filter, it should be placed in the space above the holding container.

That which holds water for pouring and filtering is a filter. That which is called a "filter stand" is: the filter is set up on those three pieces of wood, which are placed in the air above the container, and that which holds water for pouring and filtering is a filter stand. The setting up itself is what needs to be done, and for which iron nails can hold, the filter must be set up, which is placed in the air above the container, and that which holds water for pouring and filtering are the iron nails for setting up the filter. On which three pieces of wood are those iron nails hammered? Those three pieces of wood are placed in the air above the container, and that which holds water for pouring and filtering are the three pieces of wood hammered with iron nails for setting up the filter, and whatever hanging filter has three pieces of wood, that is what has three pieces of wood. The meaning of "that" is a synonym for "hanging filter." Here it is shown that in order to filter water, one should hold a hanging filter. What is that like? A hanging filter, whose three pieces of wood are connected crosswise, and also on which iron nails are hammered for the purpose of setting up a water filter. What kind of special characteristic does a water filter have? It can hold water for pouring and filtering. In which direction should that be placed? Like that, the scripture says: The Blessed One taught, one should make a hanging thing, and on top of that, one should hammer iron nails. There one should set up a water filter, and below that, one should place a bottle. One should fill the bottle of the water container. Here, the meaning of saying "one should fill the bottle of the water container" is: one should fill the inside of the water filter of the water container with water, and one should understand that the water filtered by the water filter will fill the container bottle below. In order for the water to stay, one should place a mat in the water filter, meaning, in order for the water to stay, one should place a mat inside the water filter, this word is the water filter used by monks.
