Receiving with the hand or something related to it is called giving and receiving. "Manifestly" means taking directly is giving and receiving, but taking from the side or back is not giving and receiving. "Within the boundary" means that a bhikshu residing within the boundary taking is giving and receiving, but if separated by a door or the like, one residing outside the boundary taking is not. "In the direction of obtaining" means that a bhikshu residing in the direction where giving and receiving is obtained in any direction, taking is giving and receiving, but if one is sitting on a house top or the like, taking from a bhikshu sitting below is not. "With hands cupped" means that whoever cups both hands, that is cupping hands, and taking by that person is giving and receiving, but not by others. "Body" means receiving on the hand and so on. "Related to that" means receiving on a bowl or the like related to the hand, now two kinds of receiving are giving and receiving, but receiving elsewhere is not. "From what can be lifted up" means that whoever can lift up the food to be given, receiving from that is giving and receiving, but not from anything else. "From one who has not taken full ordination" means that receiving from one who has not taken full ordination is giving and receiving, but not from a bhikshu. "Also from a non-human" means that receiving from elephants, intelligent horses, and so on is also giving and receiving. Here, the text is for the monks of the monastery, that the intelligent elephants, intelligent horses, and intelligent monkeys residing in the monastery offer fruits, and the monks do not accept them, and the Blessed One taught: "For whatever can be lifted up, there is also giving and receiving, so it should be eaten, and there should be no regret about this." "By one who wishes to give" means that giving and receiving by one who wishes to give is giving and receiving, but not by one who does not wish to give, here the text says that giving by those who have no power is not. "Limb" means with the hand. "Giving related to that" means from pills and so on related to the hand.

Giving of food and so on. Monks receiving food and so on in such a way, from the power of giving and receiving in such a way, is giving and receiving. Chapter Twenty-Nine. If it is said that the people of the place should not be disparaged, then place them on the mandala, which means: If people in their own place should indeed be disparaged, therefore, the people of the place should not be disparaged, tell them to place them on this mandala, saying that is also accepting the giving. It is not just accepting the body or what is related to it. The bowl and its base are the same, which means: The bowl and the base of the bowl are the same, accepting the bowl and placing it on the base of the bowl is doing the giving and receiving, and it is the same elsewhere. The monkeys' activity area is the branches, so from there it is not a place where it cannot be obtained, which means: The monkeys' activity area is the branches, so giving and receiving from the monkeys from the branches is not a place where it cannot be obtained, but it is only possible to give and receive from the monkeys living on the branches. Fruits etc. cannot be given and received from Man শেল (container name) and beds, small beds and Thuba (container name) and bowl bases, this is not to say: Fruits etc. cannot be given and received from those things that serve as Man শেল (container name) and beds, small beds and Thuba (container name) and bowl bases, but it is possible to give and receive. Those residents do not say anything, so observe them separately, which means: Those places where the fruits reside, the disciples and attendants do not say anything, so observe them separately. One should like to distribute evenly, which means: Whoever enters for the sake of distributing evenly is the one who distributes evenly, one should like him, one should generate liking. The situation here is that, in order to distribute, the householders distribute the fruits unevenly, the Blessed One said: Let the novices distribute. The novices also distribute unevenly, the Blessed One said: The monks wash their hands, give and receive, and then distribute.
