Done. Stirring, taking out, spooning, and scooping are also allowed for the Sangha's medicines, etc., which means: The Sangha's food, etc., medicines, and individuals are also acceptable. For the sake of stirring, etc., when those are boiling, it is not the case that a Bhikshu touching them is not allowed. This is to be combined in that way. 'When boiling' means when boiling upwards when cooking on the stove. 'Stirring' means agitating. 'Taking out' means taking out from the place. 'Spoon work' means scooping with a spoon, etc. 'Scooping' means scooping from the place of boiling, from the pots, etc., to below. Those words are so that things are not wasted. If stirring that, should it be touched from the beginning? Therefore, it is said that one should first try to split wood, extinguish the fire, and fan with sleeves of clothes, etc. When stirring the Sangha's medicine, one should try to split wood, etc., in order to prevent boiling only at the beginning. This is taught: In order to calm the boiling, one should first temporarily split firewood, extinguish the fire, and fan with sleeves of clothes, etc. However, if it does not calm down, then one should discern with stirring, etc. Therefore, know this: If it does not calm down with splitting firewood, etc., then one should do stirring, etc., after that. It is permissible to take personal belongings as food for the road for the purpose of crossing a river or carrying luggage, if the ritual has not arrived or there is no other food for the road, which means: A Bhikshu may eat the food for the road that he has taken as personal belongings for the purpose of crossing a river or carrying luggage with food for the road. When? It is said, 'If the ritual has not arrived,' if a Shramana, etc., who can do it touches it, it will not become something taken as personal belongings. If such a ritual has not arrived, that Bhikshu himself should cross the river, and the Bhikshu himself should also send it to the place where the luggage is. 'If there is no other food for the road' means: If there is no other permissible food for the road, then at that time, for the sake of food for the road, one may eat what was taken as personal belongings.

If there is no one to carry the burden, then it means that the benefactor should be pleased: If there is no other person to carry the burden of carrying the road rations, then the benefactor should be pleased to entrust him with it. If there is no one to carry it, then it means oneself: If entrusting it to the benefactor is also unsuccessful, then at that time the monk himself should carry the road rations. From that, exchanging with generosity and partaking should be accomplished means: If having others carry it is unsuccessful and one carries it oneself, then from that which one carries oneself, exchanging road rations with generosity to others and partaking should be accomplished. It is taught thus: If other means are unsuccessful, then at that time, from the road rations that one carries oneself, a share should be given to one who has not taken full ordination, and after that, the share of the one who has not taken full ordination should be exchanged with one's own share and eaten. If that is also unsuccessful, then that should be eaten means: If exchanging and partaking from that which one carries oneself is also unsuccessful, then that which one carries oneself should also be eaten. If there is no one to give and receive, then that which has not been given and received, that or another is also acceptable means: If there is no other person to do the giving and receiving, then at that time, that which one carries oneself without giving and receiving, or another entrusted to others to carry, should also be eaten. It is taught thus: It is not only that the road rations that one carries oneself should be eaten, but that or another that has not been given and received should also be eaten. Which monk should eat the two, that which one carries oneself and that which has not been given and received? Therefore, it is said: It means the one who has fasted. Which monk previously fasted for one day, that is the one who has fasted, that is the meaning. On what day should how much be eaten? Therefore, it is said: On the first day, one handful means: After previously fasting for one day, when the time comes to eat on that day, that is the meaning of the first day, and on that, one handful should be eaten. A handful means how much flour etc. can be held by the fingers spread out in a cupped hand, that is a handful. On the second day, it means that on the second day, two handfuls should be eaten.
