Ba is: Turbid water, that is how it is explained. In this sutra, the word "turbid water" is shown at the very end of all the words. For turbid water, when its own image appears, it should be recognized that at that time it is without turbidity. Using Kataka fruit to make the water very clear, it is said that turbid water is made very clear by Kataka fruit, if Kataka fruit is put into turbid water, the water will become very clear. With a transforming agent also, it is said that with a transforming agent also, the water can be made very clear. With tsampa also, it is said that with tsampa also, the water can be made very clear. To prevent it from decaying, anoint it with oil, it is said that in order to make the water very clear, the tsampa that is put in should be anointed with oil to prevent it from decaying. Putting it in the source and not appearing is not a number of existence, it is said that the source, that is, putting food in the place of origin and not appearing, is not a number of existence, like this, it is only a number of non-existence, therefore for it, only the name of non-existence should be used, this is the meaning of this sentence. This refers to the fact that the sutra says that when many monks gather at festivals and wash their bowls in wells, at that time, Kunga Rap and lay devotees wash bottles of ghee, vegetable oil, yogurt and honey in them, and drops of oil form, and the monks feel regret and do not drink it, at that time the monks pray to the Blessed One, and the Blessed One taught: Monks, what is contaminated cannot be used as food, it should be removed and drunk, do not regret this, this is the summary. Therefore, putting tsampa and so on into the water and not appearing is the same as putting it in the source. If it is mixed in one direction, then that part should be removed, it is said that one direction of the food is not suitable, or it is mixed without giving or receiving, then that direction should be removed, and the rest can be eaten.

Touching with the lips is also considered contact, meaning that when touching with the lips used for eating, the direction of contact and its residue should be removed. The former sutra eliminates the fault of taking personal belongings, etc., and the latter sutra eliminates the fault of impurity itself. Continuous contact related to this is not contact itself, meaning that through the continuity of milk, etc., related to pills, etc., touching the alms bowl is not contact with the pills, etc., themselves, and the milk, etc., related to the pills, etc., will not become impure. This sutra is made to avoid impurity itself. It is also not due to error and forgetfulness, meaning that touching food, etc., due to error, and touching due to forgetfulness, is not touching food, etc. Those two are also not for placing moved objects, meaning that due to those two, error and forgetfulness, moving food, etc., from its original place, the contact made to put it back is not contact itself. This sutra is made to avoid taking personal belongings themselves. It should be placed very close, meaning that due to error and forgetfulness, moving food, etc., from its original place, therefore, the placement to put it back should also be placed where the intermediate distance is very close. If it is taken to a very far place, it will become a fault of contact. Taking personal belongings themselves and accepting giving themselves are also not due to distraction. So-called distraction means not trusting or hesitating in the Buddha's teachings, being distracted in all the training grounds, but not gaining benefit. Therefore, taking personal belongings is also not taking personal belongings themselves, and therefore, accepting giving is also not accepting giving itself. Taking that is related to and not separated from the person suitable for giving is also not, meaning that for food, anything related to the person suitable for giving, as long as it is not separated, then the taking of the food is also not taking personal belongings themselves, nor is it accepting giving.

It is not. It is shown in this way: As long as a person with the power of giving holds food to be eaten, as long as he touches and holds it, it is not even taken in hand, nor is it given. The connection with the rope etc. held by him is the connection itself. That is to say, if a person who is worthy of the power of giving holds a rope etc., then that rope etc. is related to food, then it is related to food. Those who equally regard the vows as indistinguishable, their accumulation, giving, and taking in hand are the same. That is to say, the accumulation, giving, and taking in hand of monks, nuns, and nuns who equally regard the vows as indistinguishable are the same. Whatever is accumulated etc. by one monk is also for all other monks; similarly, whatever is accumulated etc. by one nun is also for all other nuns; whatever is accumulated etc. by one śikṣamāṇā is also for all other śikṣamāṇās, they are the same internally. If monks, nuns, and śikṣamāṇās have the same vows, but their views differ, then their accumulation etc. will also not be the same, therefore it is said here "those who have indistinguishable views." Because of the indistinguishable views, it is said here in the scripture: When requesting, without the elder's permission, can one make a giving that has been permitted? One should not approach. If the elder has permitted, can one make a giving that has not been permitted? One should not approach. Is it superior or not superior? It is said to be connected with vows. Superior means having superior vows. Not superior? It means having non-superior vows, it is the same. It is shown in this way: a nun and a śikṣamāṇā who have superior vows, and a śikṣamāṇā who has non-superior vows.
