It is said that this should be looked after by the abbot of the Sangha. The so-called "do not fast arbitrarily" means that without reasons such as illness, do not fast arbitrarily due to anger or laziness. The so-called "sit down when requesting for a drink" means that if the patron requests, 'Please monks drink here,' then the monks should sit appropriately in another's house for a while. If asked, 'Who is the cause of repeated eating leading to downfall?' Therefore, it is said, 'Whether simultaneously or later, obtaining a second meal by inviting a guest without offering clothes.' That is, within a day, whether simultaneously or later, obtaining a second meal by inviting a guest without offering clothes is the very author of this offense. Because it will be said below that accepting simultaneously will lead to downfall, therefore, whenever two invitations are accepted and the order of eating is not considered, then know that only the eating that is completed later will naturally lead to downfall. If one of the invited guests has no offering of clothes, then only the lack of offering of clothes will lead to downfall, that is, the downfall is shown in four ways: with offering of clothes, without offering of clothes, with offering of clothes and value of clothes, and without offering of clothes and value of clothes. Among them, the so-called "with offering of clothes" means inviting from another place with offering of clothes to offer clothes here, that is, both invited guests have offering of clothes, this is its definition. The so-called "without offering of clothes" means inviting from another place with offering of clothes to here without offering of clothes, that is, the former has offering of clothes and the latter does not have offering of clothes, this is its definition. The so-called "with offering of clothes and value of clothes" means that there is both offering of clothes and the value of clothes. The so-called "without offering of clothes and value of clothes" means that there is neither offering of clothes nor the value of clothes. Among them, the so-called "value of clothes" means that it should be known as the price of clothes.

If it is found that the invited guest is the offender, then, it is because, it is said, "For food." If asked, what kind of food? It is said, "Belonging to the five kinds of food." That is, rice, hot porridge, dumplings, meat, and fried dough, all five of these foods are included. Any of these five can be, this is the summary statement. If asked, compared to the previous invitation, if another situation is found to be an offender, then, it is because, it is said, "If the other is also the same." If another invited guest also belongs to the same food, then, if this situation is found, it is the offender. If it is not like that, there is no fall. Here, the scripture says, if a monk borrows food from a monk who has not eaten before, and then borrows food for him, if he eats it, what precepts will be violated? The person nearby has no fall. If a monk borrows food other than the five kinds of food from a monk, and then borrows the five kinds of food for him, if he eats it, what precepts will be violated? The person nearby has no fall, it is said like this. If asked, what kind of monk is the offender? It is because, it is said, "Not sick, not working, not on the road." Not sick, is the person who is not sick. The person who has not done work, is the person who has not done work. The person who is not on the road, is the person who is not on the road. For these people, it is the offender. Therefore, in the case of being sick, etc., there is no fall. In the case of not meeting the conditions, a minor offense will be committed. Because it is said, in all cases that do not meet the conditions, a minor offense will be committed. If asked, in what situation, by what means will one become an offender? It is because, it is said, "If accepted, a minor offense will be committed."

At that time, it is the fundamental actor. If it is said to have obtained clothes, then what is the size of the clothes? Therefore, here it is said that the limit of the clothes is the extent of one cubit. Calling for clothes, here the limit of the size of the clothes should be understood as the extent of one cubit. If the clothes called for are smaller than the extent of one cubit, then it should be understood as having no clothes, and it will only become a fundamental offense. For other aspects such as giving clothes, the extent of one cubit is the fundamental actor, and smaller than that is the actor of a misdeed. But here, smaller than that is also the fundamental actor. Previously, it was said not to be sick, not to have worked, and not to have traveled on the road. Then what is the size of the road? Therefore, it is said that the road is half a yojana. Here, the limit of the road is half a yojana. Others also, meaning, for the training grounds such as gathering and eating other than eating repeatedly, also. The word "also" indicates that the limit of the road for those training grounds is also half a yojana, just as this shows. Here, for walking or going by boat also, here it refers to the road of walking on land. Going by boat refers to the road of boarding a boat and traveling. For these two situations, it should also be understood that the limit size is half a yojana. What is the characteristic of work? Therefore, it is said that one sweep of the broom or one application of ointment is the limit of work. The limit size of work is, if one sweep of the broom is done, or if one application of ointment is done, it should be understood as that is the limit. Others also, this "also" should be added here, therefore, for gathering and eating, etc., it should also be understood that this is the characteristic of work. That is also the nature of the Sangha or the nature of the stupa, meaning, the work such as sweeping that is shown, if it is the nature of the Sangha, or if it is the nature of the stupa, then that is the time of work.
