Having spoken thus. For monks and those traveling on the road, regarding food for the journey, whether it be five precious things, or five things mentioned as precious, or five foods, or five foods mentioned, whatever is available and appropriate should be given. Who should give? Therefore, novices, novice nuns, laymen, and laywomen should give. Let them carry it. Monks and nuns, one person's travel provisions can be given by another, which means that if these monks and nuns do not have their own attendants, one can give to another, which is reasonable. One can also accept the giving of another, which means that monks and nuns, one can also accept the giving of another. In pure conduct, one should not abandon the sick on the road, which means that monks on the road, in pure conduct, should not abandon the sick on the road. He should be given to, which means that the sick person should be given to by the monks on the road. The same applies to nuns, which means that nuns should also not abandon the sick on the road in pure conduct, which is the meaning of "He should be given to." In this regard, one should help each other, which means that for the sick person who is given, monks and nuns should help each other. How to help? Therefore, it is said, support from the side, which means that if a monk is sick, the nun should support his head from the side, and if a nun is sick, the monk should also support her head from the side, while the feet should be supported by someone of the same kind. Having arrived at the village, even if one leaves, there is no fault, which means that these monks and nuns, having led the sick person to the village, place the sick person, and then go elsewhere, at that time there is no fault. Is there no fault in leaving at all times? Therefore, it is said, prepare the patient's medicine and food properly, and leave a caregiver of compatible nature. This means that the patient's medicine is prepared, the food is also prepared, and a caregiver of compatible nature and similar name is left nearby, and then leave.

This is how it should be practiced. What constitutes the cause of a downfall by walking on the road with a Bhikshuni? Therefore, it is said that if one walks on a fearful road, one should go together and not separate. Otherwise, if one crosses the road with one Bhikshuni, it is said as such. If on a fearful road with thieves and the like, without prior agreement, a Bhikshu and a Bhikshuni should go together and not separate. Otherwise, if on another road, in the same journey, any Bhikshu crosses the road with one Bhikshuni, it constitutes a downfall. It is taught as follows: If a Bhikshu is with a Bhikshuni, whether or not they have agreed beforehand, if they travel together, crossing the road by the journey itself, it constitutes a downfall. If the road itself is also fearful, and they have not agreed beforehand on that journey, if they wish to travel together, then traveling together on the road itself is without fault. Here, the saying "in accordance with the meaning of the Bhikshuni" is mainly based on the type, so whether it is one Bhikshuni, two Bhikshunis, or many Bhikshunis, it is acceptable. How long does this transgression last? Therefore, it is said that for every krosha (Tibetan: རྒྱང་གྲགས།), it becomes a fundamental offense. If one crosses one krosha, it becomes one fundamental offense; if one crosses two kroshas, it becomes two fundamental offenses; if one crosses three kroshas, it becomes three fundamental offenses, and so on. Therefore, the meaning of "every krosha is a fundamental offense" means that every half krosha crossed constitutes a minor offense, that is, every half krosha becomes a minor offense. Here, the scripture says "every krosha is a fundamental offense," which means that every half krosha constitutes a minor offense. The saying that walking on the road with a Bhikshuni constitutes a downfall has been explained. What else, if done, constitutes the downfall of riding a boat with a Bhikshuni? Therefore, it is said that unless both banks are fearful, if one agrees beforehand and crosses the road together in one boat, it is said as such. Precept
