Having determined that two people with masters should definitely ordain together like this. If these two who have come for ordination do not wish to ordain separately, then both should be ordained, and if both are ordained, then the oldest of the novices should receive full ordination. If he is old but not yet twenty years old, what should be done then? Therefore, if he is not of age, he should be entrusted to another for the purpose of temporary residence. Having said this, whichever novice, even if he is old, if he has not reached the age of twenty, then one of the two should be entrusted to another monk for the purpose of temporary residence. If he is entrusted to someone for the purpose of temporary residence, will he only belong to that person? Therefore, having said, "He should not be taken away from him," the novice should not be taken away from that monk and given to the abbot. At the time of full ordination, who should give full ordination? Therefore, having said, "He should be given full ordination by the one who entrusted him," if he does not give him, what should be done then? Therefore, having said, "He should be forcibly taken back from the one who does not give him from the place of temporary residence," he should be forcibly taken back from the one who does not give him and given full ordination. By saying, "To employ is a servant," the name "to employ" is used to approach the named, like "Is it not?" etc., is used in conjunction with "servant." How should the word "servant" be used in conjunction with the named? Here, the word "Is he not a servant?" is the first ending, and "should not" is the second ending here. Thus, the meaning of this sentence is: One should ask the person who is approaching for ordination, "Are you not a servant?" and those who give full ordination should also ask, a servant does not ordain, nor does he receive full ordination. Like this, although the word "servant" is only one, however, due to the meaning, the classification is changed, and it should be used in two places. Yes or no, I give, you owe someone a debt, whether much or little, a slight arrears, so it is said, yes or no.

The term "Tongla" refers to the use of the word "Is it so?". The name used in this sutra is to closely establish it with the name that uses the sound of "Is it so?". In the place of "Is it so?", "you" should be closely connected. In this way, the meaning of the sutra will appear here. To those who come for ordination, one should ask, "Do you have any debts to anyone, whether much or little, without any arrears?" Those who are fully ordained should also ask, and one should not allow debtors to be ordained or fully ordained. The term "debt" refers to what should be repaid, so it should be known that the term used here is connected with debtors. It is not that all debtors cannot be ordained. If someone vows, "After being ordained or fully ordained, I can repay the debt later," then he should be allowed to be ordained. This distinction is manifested in the mantra. The mantra says, "Do you have any debts to anyone, whether much or little, without any arrears? Can you repay it after ordination?" Therefore, with the words "Can you repay it?", if that is the case, he should be allowed to be ordained. If the parents of someone who wants to be ordained are alive and do not agree, and the place of residence is not far, then it should be delayed for seven days. The so-called "the parents of someone who wants to be ordained are alive" means that the parents of someone who wants to be ordained are both alive, that is, the parents of someone who wants to be ordained are alive. The so-called "they do not agree" means that the parents do not agree to his ordination. The so-called "the place of residence is not far" means that there is no very distant place of residence, that is, the place of residence is not far. If someone who wants to be ordained is like this, it should be delayed for seven days, meaning that he should not be allowed to be ordained as soon as he arrives. Since the word "they" is plural, the "parents are alive" here should also be understood as both parents. If only one is alive, it should be handled in the same way. Having spoken of the situation where the place of residence is not far, now speaking of the situation where the place of residence is very far, even if the place of residence is very far, it should be reported to the Sangha.
