It is. Its substance is being endowed with morality. Because there is no occasion for violating morality in this, therefore, knowing that this is virtuous, it should be understood as being endowed with morality. Similarly, the substance of much learning is much learning itself, which is knowing many treatises. Being endowed with morality itself and much learning itself, these two, and engaging together, is the fifth one combined with being endowed with morality itself and much learning itself. In whichever fifth one there is direct knowledge of the Tripitaka, there, much learning itself is the object of other's treatises. Where the direct knowledge of the Tripitaka is not included, there, much learning itself should be understood as the object of one's own established tenets. The so-called direct knowledge of the Tripitaka itself is the direct knowledge of the Sutra Pitaka, the Vinaya Pitaka, and the Abhidharma Pitaka. If these three are added to being endowed with morality itself and much learning itself, it is the fifth one. Whatever is mentioned in the Vinaya Pitaka as holding the Sutra Pitaka, etc., being learned, intelligent, and clear, these four should be understood as being included in what is said as the direct knowledge of the Tripitaka itself. The distinctions of those words are as follows: Holding the Sutra Pitaka, etc., and not forgetting is holding. Being able to make the three Pitakas, which are interconnected and mixed, exist separately is being learned. Combining the Sutra Pitaka, etc., with the two valid cognitions of direct perception and inference, and with scripture, is intelligence. Combining the Sutra Pitaka, etc., with both scripture and intelligence, being able to make others understand, that is clarity. Therefore, this sutra called the direct knowledge of the Tripitaka itself shows four kinds of fifth ones, while the former is one kind of fifth one, making five fifth ones in total. The so-called being able to make them hold is that those Tripitakas, by the nature of their meaning, make others hold and are able to understand, which is the sixth fifth one. That is another distinction of the direct knowledge of the Tripitaka itself alone. If it were not so, if one does not have direct knowledge oneself, how could one make others hold by the nature of the meaning? And the meaning of abiding in the Vinaya Pitaka

One will also certainly practice diligently. Therefore, one should understand that what a person who knows the Tripitaka can make others understand is their expression. Fifth Six. Regarding "training in higher morality, mind, and wisdom," morality, mind, and wisdom are morality, mind, and wisdom. The word "higher" is for the sake of morality, mind, and wisdom. "Training" means to train. The object of training is training itself, that is, training in it. Therefore, the meaning of the words here is: training in higher morality training, higher mind, and training in higher wisdom, which is a way of expressing it. Mentioning "higher morality" encompasses all the bases of training except for the Vinaya. Mentioning "higher mind" encompasses the four dhyanas, because they are what tame the mind. Mentioning "higher wisdom" encompasses the path without outflows. Fifth Seven. Regarding "also being able to cause to train," the word "also" is to include higher morality and so on, not to understand it as a different meaning. If it were understood that way, the fifth would become only the independent one. But it will not become that way, because it is impossible. Therefore, it should be understood that this is a distinction of the previous one, like this, one cannot cause others to train in higher morality and so on without having trained oneself. Because one who has not tamed oneself cannot tame others, because it is said in the sutras, "There is no such place, there is no such place." The object of "able" is able, that is, being able to cause others to train in higher morality and so on. Fifth Eight. Regarding "It is the same for higher conduct, discipline, and Pratimoksha," "higher conduct" is said to be the going and coming and so on in the Vinaya, because it is constantly practiced with higher diligence. "Discipline" refers to the training of the Pratimoksha, which is explained in detail, including the distinctions, details, and basis, and so on. Separate
