This is "cubit" - showing the cubit measurement mentioned earlier. Of the seven equal parts into which the body is divided, the second part is the meaning of the cubit measurement, not the length from the elbow to the tip of the middle finger. Therefore, the size of the monastic robes should be measured by the cubit measurement made by this form of measurement. This form of measurement is not necessary for all places, but is said for those who have short or long arms due to personal physical reasons. For those whose physical condition and arm length are suitable, their own cubit is not the standard here either. If it is not enough to cover, it should be cut and patched, which means that if the body is too tall, the size of the monastic skirt cannot completely cover the body, then, the so-called "not enough to cover" means that it is not completely covered. Therefore, suitable fabric should be cut and patched so that it can cover the body. "Distinguishing abandonment by the month" refers to what is said when determining the sin of abandonment, and this is the end. In order to summarize the explanation of abandonment by the month, it is said, "Smaller than this is similar to a minor offense and will become an evil deed." Here, the word "than this" refers to a minor offense, that is, the length of one cubit. "Smaller than this" means even smaller than a minor offense, that is, smaller than the length of one cubit. The "minor offense" in "similar to a minor offense" refers to the length of one cubit itself, which is smaller than the previous length of one cubit. The meaning of "similar to" is that if it is smaller than this, just as one will commit the sin of abandonment after one month, one will commit the sin of evil deed after one month. Here it is taught that just as when sewing small pieces of cloth, if additional cloth is needed, and even if it has been blessed, one will commit the sin of abandonment if more than one month has passed, similarly, if it is smaller than the length of one cubit, even if additional cloth is needed, and even if it has been blessed, one will commit the sin of evil deed if more than one month has passed. Just like when sewing small pieces of cloth, if additional cloth is needed...

Even if it is not blessed and has reached the point where it cannot be blessed, it should be discarded after ten days. Similarly, if something smaller than that, the size of a span, is left, it will be an offense after ten days. To show its distinction, if it cannot cover half of the bowl, then there is no hope. This means that, as mentioned earlier, the size of the three bowls, if the cloth cannot even cover half of the edge and width of the bowl, there is no hope of mending it. It belongs to the category of discarding after ten days, not to the category of one month. It is said that any cloth that cannot cover half of the three bowls, there is absolutely no hope of mending it. This belongs to the category of discarding after ten days, not to the category of discarding after one month. Therefore, it is an offense because of one's own ten days, not because of the passing of a month. What is not suitable is also the same, that is, there is no hope of mending it. Here, the question is, what kind of cloth should be placed? What is suitable? What is suitable? Those that the Blessed One has not forbidden are suitable. Face wipes and water filters, as well as soft cushions and donkey hoofs, etc., are cloths for utensils that have not been blessed. This means that cloths that are used as utensils, such as face wipes, etc., that have not been blessed as face wipes, etc., there is no hope of mending them, and they belong only to the category of discarding after ten days. It is said that cloths that are used as utensils, such as face wipes, etc., those that have not been blessed as face wipes, etc., should be known to be hopeless because of discarding after one month, because they should be discarded after ten days. Those should be used as face wipes, etc., and should not be placed. What are face wipes, etc.? Here, some texts say that cloths for utensils that have not been blessed should be discarded after ten days. Face wipes and water filters, as well as soft cushions and donkey hoofs that have been blessed, there is no offense, it is said.
