That is the very first moment of that moment. This definition is necessary for things like leaving the robes, because it is said (in the scriptures) that "the dawn of the eleventh day rises." In order to show the specificity of this definition, for actions, it is said that "once it has passed, the sun rises." For actions related to the difference in date numbers, such as posadha and karma, if the time has passed and ended, then the very first moment of the moment when the sun rises is the beginning of the day and night. This shows that even if the so-called dawn of the date has risen, one should perform actions such as posadha at that time before the sun rises. Here, the scripture is that if the monks, when the dawn rises, remember that they have not done the posadha, and then they perform the posadha and recite the pratimoksha at that time, then is the sangha considered to have performed the posadha and recited the pratimoksha? Is the attendant sangha considered to have performed the posadha and recited the pratimoksha? This is what is said in the scriptures. For abandonment, the meaning of "consciousness is more important than the thing itself" is that for the thing to be abandoned, consciousness is more important than the thing itself, but not more important than other things. Taking what is not given and the relics of the dead, these two are where the thing itself is more important than consciousness. Here, the scripture is that on the basis of leather, a monk entrusts robes and other things to a monk, and if they are sent from here but do not reach there, then nothing will become abandoned, so it is said in the scriptures. This shows that even if the robes and other things are entrusted in this way, even if the monk living far away has been made to possess them, since that monk does not have the consciousness of owning that thing himself, therefore it will not become abandoned. If the stolen object is entrusted, the person who receives the entrustment will not commit theft, but the person who entrusts it will commit theft. Similarly, if an object entrusted by a monk with the correct consciousness of giving dies before it is obtained, or if both the entruster and the receiver die, then even so

It should be known that this object is merely the funerary equipment used for transferring to the deceased. It is not a true offering, as it is distinguished based on the object, not on consciousness. Thus, only with consciousness does it become real, and without consciousness, there is no transgression. Furthermore, to perceive what is not one's own as one's own is a misdeed. To doubt what is one's own leads to abandonment; what is as it is, is real. What is not as it is, is not real, as it is said. To doubt what is not one's own is a misdeed, for doubt is similar to consciousness, as it is said. The statement "separation occurs at the time of offering" means that whatever is to be abandoned is completely relinquished by the mind. Even if it is not blessed or contemplated at the time of offering, it is already separated from oneself and is not one's own. This shows that if a monk offers robes, etc., to the Sangha, an individual, or another, whether the recipient knows it or not, whether it is delivered or not, because it is separated from oneself, it does not become abandonment even if it is not blessed or contemplated. Here, the scripture states that on the basis of leather, whatever is offered as clothing does not lead to abandonment, which is the same meaning. For the funerary equipment of the deceased, the distinction is made on the object, not on consciousness. Likewise, here the scripture also says that if a monk offers robes, etc., to another monk, both the giver and the receiver abandon them. If one blesses the recipient, it is not blessed. If one blesses the giver, it is blessed, it is well blessed, as it is said. Therefore, whatever object is made by whom, it is the funerary equipment of that person, not of the one to whom it is offered. The statement "what is determined for the sake of renunciation is also that" refers to the cause of renunciation.

It has been done. The definite dedication of placement is also that dedication itself. Here, the scripture says that if it is used for the purpose of ordination, there is no downfall. Although this is said to the bowl, it is also acceptable for Dharma robes and so on, so it is a general explanation. Also, examine the Dharma robes, here, the word "also" means that if a dedication of examination is made, then the Dharma robe also separates from oneself. What is called examination is: Venerable one, please listen. This remaining, unexamined, examinable garment of mine, named so-and-so, I examine it as belonging to the Abbot. I trust the Abbot and hold it. I will do as the conditions dictate. It should be understood that reciting this mantra three times is examination. If examining for someone other than the Abbot, the name of so-and-so should also be said. Sixteenth fascicle. Here, the so-called "the very following also deteriorates" means that for this downfall of oneself, by means of the dedication itself and the examination itself, one should know that the very following of oneself, that is, the very continuity itself, also deteriorates, not only oneself deteriorates. It is said thus: If a monk obtains a Dharma robe on a certain day, and on the fifth day, distinguishes or abandons that Dharma robe, even if he obtains another Dharma robe on that very day later, it will not be mixed with the previous imprint, because the very following has deteriorated. The so-called "also deteriorates from nature," the word "also" is said to follow "the very following deteriorates itself." The so-called "from nature" is from the essence. The so-called "deterioration" is when the mind is distracted, and at that time, one should also know that the very following of oneself also deteriorates. It is said thus: Even if the monk himself deteriorates from the ordinary essence of nature due to mental distraction and so on, at that time, also because the continuity that follows oneself deteriorates, therefore, the previous one that has not deteriorated from nature
