I eventually become a grave offense, previously it was a misdeed. Not seeking land and so on, nor exceeding the limit, not practicing all four branches, explaining this will eventually become a misdeed, and previously it was also a misdeed. Others only say that it eventually becomes a grave offense. Similarly, not seeking land and so on, nor exceeding the limit, for practicing a little of the branches such as permission, with the intention of explaining, it will eventually become a misdeed, and previously it was also considered a misdeed. Others also think that here it will eventually become a grave offense. Here, if a monk has someone build a house and has them do inappropriate things, it will become a grave offense. If he has them do contentious things, it will become a grave offense. If he has them do things that should not be started, it will become a grave offense. If he has them do it without informing, it will become a grave offense. If he has them exceed the limit, it will become a grave offense. If he has them go beyond everything, it will become a sanghavasesa offense, this is what the Buddha said. In this basis of distinction, there is an additional branch called "complete effort" in everything, therefore it is said to be a grave offense. For those who do not have the branch called "seeking", nor is it exceeding the limit, only a few branches such as inappropriateness, that is a misdeed. Fifteenth fascicle. Being appointed and not being appointed are not the main thing, so-called "being appointed" is having others do it. So-called "not being appointed" is doing it oneself. These two are not the main thing, not mainly established from the downfall. Thus it is shown, a monk by virtue of being appointed, having someone build a house or monastery, will also become the form of a downfall of having someone do it arbitrarily. So-called "being appointed is the same as oneself", that is, what is done by the appointed person is the same as what is done by the appointer himself. Thus it is shown, just as doing wrong things such as building houses and monasteries by oneself will become a transgression.

If the one who is appointed acts in a wrong way, then the one who appoints will also be at fault. The previous sutra has determined the downfall of the appointed one. This sutra has determined the downfall of the one who appoints. Therefore, what is done by the appointed one is actually done by the one who appoints. If it is said that the appointed one is like oneself, then, if the appointed one does not act according to the instructions of the one who appoints, there will be doubt as to whether the appointed one is the same as the one who appoints. Therefore, it is said in the sutra that for not acting according to the instructions, it can be corrected by body and speech. Going beyond the instructions of the one who appoints and doing other things is not acting according to the instructions. For not acting according to the instructions, is it done by the appointed one himself, or is it caused to be done by others? If the one who appoints gives bricks and other things through the body, or says "well done" etc. through speech, and acknowledges and accepts not acting according to the instructions, then what is done by the appointed one is considered to be the same as what is done by the one who appoints himself. Here, it is said in the sutra that if one says to him, "well done, very well done, I instruct you in this way," and he offers him wood, bamboo, or clay, or causes him to do anything inappropriate, then both will fall as before. The so-called "action is one" means that the work is done to pursue the goal. Even if the time interval is long, the determination of downfall is unique. It is said in the sutra that even if the time is separated by units such as years, and it has begun to be recreated, all these creations are unique, meaning that only one downfall is committed. Abandoning without regard is another matter, if it is interrupted because of abandoning without regard, and later restarted because of other thoughts, then the downfalls are different. If the unfinished thing is completed, a serious offense will be committed, and if others continue to complete the unfinished thing, a minor offense will be committed.
