Everyone says the bowl is good, one should say the bowl is beautiful. After showing the bowl, what should be done? After isolating, the officiant makes the secret instructor speak, saying, "After being pleased, request the Sangha." Saying "after isolating" means: taking the person to be fully ordained out of the mandala's position. How far should they be separated? Until the actions for the secret instruction cannot be heard. After that, the officiant should do things like asking "Who is it?" These should be understood from the Karma ritual. From there, one should also isolate from the danger of hearing these things, and in a place where seeing is dangerous, have them join their palms and place them facing the Sangha. After that, the officiant should speak. The so-called "Who is it?" refers to: taking the first letter of the mantra. Use "The Khenpo's name is this" to find the secret instructor, and use this mantra to request who the secret instructor is. After that, the secret instructor should say, "My name is this." In this way, the officiant makes the secret instructor answer the words spoken, and after that, in order to please the officiant, he says, "After being pleased," which is the secret instructor himself. "The name is this, your Khenpo's name is this, are you pleased to secretly instruct the person named this?" with this mantra. This explanation of the ritual is what should be done first at all times. After doing this, the officiant should understand the meaning of the phrase "Request the secret instructor from the Sangha." In this way, the meaning of the sutra appears here: After isolating from the different places where those who wish to be fully ordained reside, use "The name is this" to do the action of "Requesting who the secret instructor is for the person named this," and after doing that beforehand, then one should seek the secret instructor from the Sangha. After requesting the Sangha, the secret instructor secretly follows the person who wishes to be fully ordained.

This should be done accordingly. Therefore, saying "Listen, you!" is to secretly instruct. This is the work of the secret instructor, not of others. Why? Because secretly instructing is his duty. Starting with the first word, "Listen, you!", one recites all the mantras, such as "O fortunate one, listen! This is your true time, this is the time of occurrence," and so on. After the instruction, the secret instructor says to the one who wishes to receive full ordination, "Until you are summoned, do not come, stay here." If, after the instruction, the Sangha is completely pure, one should request their arrival by saying, "Is there anything?" That is to say, "Until you are summoned," that is, "until you are invited," one says to the one who wishes to receive full ordination, "For a while, do not enter the Sangha, stay here." Having thus instructed, the secret instructor says to the elders, "If, after the instruction," one should say this. This is also taking the words of the mantra. Therefore, one should closely say the word "because," this is the same part of reciting the mantra. How does one make the Sangha understand that the one who wishes to receive full ordination is completely pure? (By reciting) "O Sangha of monks, listen! I, in the name of the Khenpo so-and-so, have secretly instructed so-and-so (the one who wishes to receive full ordination) regarding the obstructing dharmas, if he has completely purified the obstructing dharmas, then is it true?" and so on, with the mantra. Therefore, here the meaning of the sutra is: After the secret instructor has instructed the one who wishes to receive full ordination, one should say, "Until you are summoned, until you are invited, do not enter into different places, stay here for a while in this very direction." Then, one should make the Sangha understand that the one who wishes to receive full ordination is completely pure, (by reciting) "I, in the name of the Khenpo so-and-so, have secretly instructed so-and-so (the one who wishes to receive full ordination) regarding the obstructing dharmas," and so on, with the mantra. After making them understand that they are completely pure, one requests their arrival by saying, "Is there anything?"
