Arise! Also, after saying, "O Possessor of Life, arise," that person arose, the time has come. That bhikkhu felt remorse. The Blessed One taught: One will not fall into a defeat, but will incur a gross offense, until (here). The bhikkhu, being sick, suffers for a long time, and those who attend to him are weary, and those people say, "We will no longer attend to you, and you will also die quickly." Having said that, those people no longer attended to him, and when the time comes, one will incur a gross offense, until (here). The sick bhikkhu did not find suitable food, and his attendant found unsuitable food, and said, "O Possessor of Life, for a while, this has been found, eat it." After eating that, when the time comes, one will incur a gross offense, until (here). The bhikkhu peeled unripe rice, and that also, from the time it comes, one will incur a gross offense, until (here). The bhikkhus If they do not say, "Go, put him in a pit," and having said that, they put him in a pit, from the time it comes, one will incur a gross offense, until (here). They said, "If you do not say that, go, squeeze him with the door bolt," those people squeezed him with the door bolt, and from the time it comes, one will incur a gross offense, until (here). It has been said like this. Here, even if the person who should be killed dies, one will not fall into a defeat. Having said that, from this sentence, the speaker did not generate the thought of killing, but only spoke those words with the thought of affliction, therefore, this is a situation where anger is even more intense, and it should be recognized that this is another gross offense. Offering from a cliff and binding, etc., doing it for the purpose of death, is also so. Regarding the phrase "is also so," this repetition is not a repetition of the previous one, but only follows the word "gross offense." Offering from a cliff and binding, etc., and also for the purpose of death, doing it as a cause of death, is also a gross offense. Here also, if with the thought of killing, one makes others offer from a cliff, and binding, etc., if they die, one will incur a defeat, and if they do not die, it is an action, therefore, one will incur a gross offense, so, therefore, here offering from a cliff and

The mentioned bindings and so on are related to oneself, that is, it was previously said that killing oneself would be a serious offense, and here that characteristic is pointed out, so it should be known that not dying is a serious offense. The text here is that among the tamers, a monk became hunchbacked due to illness, thinking what is the use of me living, so he went to jump off a cliff, and after he jumped off the cliff, he became upright, and then he regretted it. The Blessed One taught: It will become a serious offense, and so it was said all the way down. For the sick person, do not give weapons and ropes casually. Previously, it was said not to place the tools of death, there it pointed out the prohibition of serving the sick, here it should be known that it is the prohibition for those who are not serving the sick. Giving casually means do not give without examination. For other purposes, it can be given without consideration. The mentioned ropes and so on are examples, it should be known that needles and so on are also prohibited. The attendant should do it knowingly, the mentioned attendant is, the attendant who does the work of the hands, etc., those should be done knowingly. Slapping with secret mantras is also, it should also be combined to do it only knowingly. In order to liberate the possessed, with secret mantras as the first, slap the face. Hitting to remove obstacles is also, the mentioned obstacles refer to the throat and so on, anything formed on the body that has become something other than the body, such as food. To eliminate it, hitting with fists and so on, that should also be done knowingly. What has become there should be carefully examined separately, and then wrapped up, meaning that it has become knowingly, residing in knowing itself, in any case it will not cause harm to anyone, such as people, so carefully examine separately, and then wrap stones and wood and so on. Like this, although stones and wood and so on are not mentioned here, they can be obtained by implication, how to obtain by implication? Because it is said to examine carefully separately, and then wrap up, so it should be wrapped
