For the sake of (discipline), the Bhikshuni gave the salt that facilitates the transformation, hence this sutra was made. The meaning of "If you cannot lift a heavy load, do not be a friend" is that not being able to lift a heavy load means not being able to bear the weight. Do not offer help to anything that would cause harm to oneself and others. If someone asks: Is this permanently prohibited? In order to indicate that there are exceptions. If because of this situation, say "Let the laypeople gather together and lift it together," having said the word "do," having said "do" in the first word, this is also an arbitrary instruction. If because of this situation, it means: If a situation such as a fire occurs, or if one is assigned to lift something. The meaning of "laypeople gathering together" is: For those who cannot lift a heavy load, the laypeople grab from various places and gather together. In order to lift the heavy load, they should gather together hand in hand, not just gather and sit together. The meaning of "lift it together" is: Having gathered together like that, now those laypeople should be told "lift it together," shouting, and I myself should also go back and lift it. This indicates: If such a situation occurs, and the laypeople also gather together and lift it together, but at that time they cannot lift the heavy load, then the Bhikshu should freely help to lift it. The meaning of "Also shout together when putting it down" is: When putting down a heavy load that is difficult to lift, everyone should also be told to put it down together. The meaning of "Do not throw bricks" is: It should be passed from one hand to another. This refers to doing things with hands. Because this situation is common in places, this is prohibited in all places. The meaning of "Do not give without stating the chipping and cracking" is: The peeling off of the top or bottom surface of the brick is chipping. The occurrence of hail is cracking. The meaning of "without stating those" is without mixing. The meaning of "that itself" is the chipping itself and the cracking itself. Do not give those things without telling the recipient, that is, do not give alms.

This is the concluding statement. This statement is to avoid causing harm to the receiver. To intimidate thieves, one can make threatening sounds, which has already been mentioned in the first sentence and can be used at will. "To intimidate thieves" refers to threatening robbers. "Threat" refers to expressing fear through body and speech with a harmless intention. Here it is taught: A bhikkhu, in order to make thieves flee, should make bodily threats such as stomping, and make loud verbal shouts. This is the concluding statement. To express threat, it is said to throw without hitting the gaṇḍī and other things. The gaṇḍī and other things are thrown at the thieves. In any case, the gaṇḍī and other things should be thrown in such a way that they do not touch the thieves. In any case, this is the concluding statement for not causing harm. The word "etcetera" includes bodily long strokes, and things like needles, ropes, and bells. From the other direction, throwing dust jars and ash tiles, the word "also" here is connected to "throwing." The phrase "from the other direction" is designed to strike with dust and ashes. Otherwise, if the previous scriptures and so on are mentioned, this design would become meaningless. A jar filled with dust is a dust jar. Similarly, a tile filled with ashes is an ash tile, and the intermediate words should be omitted implicitly, such as a ghee jar. These are for symbolism, and other dust-producing substances are also the same. A slingshot should also be carried, which is also related to intimidating thieves. Having said to carry, then loading stones and other things, throwing without hitting, even if it is not explicitly stated, it should be known that it can be done. A bhikkhu should not offer fatigue, this statement because two words are said, so offering non-bhikkhus and non-fatigue should also be regarded as a minor offense. Helping him refers to helping the tired bhikkhu. Here, mentioning bhikkhu is for symbolism, this Dharma
