Enticing by saying it will turn into wealth, summarizing giving etc., there is no difference in those methods of killing etc. After that, even doing small things is the same, meaning that secretly doing small things is also no different, after that, the small things done are like kicking toes, elm seeds, kapok etc. Like this, although those are summarized by any of the previous ones, but in order to clearly show that point, this sentence is said. What is to be killed is male, female and hermaphrodite, meaning that there is no difference in the sentient beings to be killed, whether male, female or hermaphrodite, saying those places is to show the meaning of extensive explanation. With that basis, if it dies at other times, for this sentence, with that basis, meaning with the basis of the previous action. If it dies at other times, meaning that there is no difference between dying at that time and dying at other times, here the scripture says that even if it is not that time, but because of him, it dies later. Twelfth Chapter. After the reversal of the wish, it is not the cause, meaning that the word "died" is added in the middle. Previously, a monk planned for a person to die, and after that, he reversed the wish from death, and after reversing in not dying, later other people grabbed the previous plan with a stick, if he dies, then the previous action is not the cause. It is shown in this way that if a monk previously planned for other people to die, and after that, that person reverses the wish in fear etc., at that time the other party does not agree, and later kills himself at will, then the previous action of that monk is not the cause, and he will not fail. From the previous action it will become gross. Because of caressing, if the unintentional one dies from the mother and the one living in the womb, then it is a gross sin, meaning that because of the reason of caressing, if any one of the mother and the one living in the womb dies unintentionally, then at that time the gross sin is added. Because of caressing, meaning because of the reason of caressing. Mother and the one living in the womb

The term "mother" refers to both the mother and the one residing in the womb; either of these two suffices. "Unintended" means not deliberately contemplated. If the one who is most unintended dies first, then it is a grave offense. Thus it is declared: If the "delight" includes the one residing in the womb, and if, among the mother and the one residing in the womb, the one who is most unintended dies first, then it is a grave offense, because harm is certain. If the one who is intended dies first, it becomes a defeat. In that matter, "to engage in killing, or to accept it?" is connected to "grave offense." "In that matter" refers to the matter of accepting. "To engage in killing" means that if, in the matter of accepting, one engages in killing, it is engaging in killing. If one accepts the matter of engaging, it is a grave offense. Here, the scripture refers to the aspect of a layperson who is a close associate. The close associate asks: Have you caused the one residing in the womb to be aborted? The monk replies: I have not caused the one residing in the womb to be aborted, but I have accepted it. The Blessed One said: A monk should not accept such a thing; if he accepts it, it becomes a transgression of a grave offense. Thus it is declared. If one accepts such an aspect, then a change in the body will undoubtedly occur, but I will not prevent a change in speech, nor will I urge it; you know it yourself. Such words also arise, therefore it is established as a grave offense. If one says, "In your name, I will give the means of death," it is also the same, meaning that if one accepts it, it is connected to a grave offense. If another says to a monk, "In your name, I will give poison and other means of death to the person to be killed," if that monk accepts such words, it is also the designation of a grave offense. Here, the scripture is from the analysis of nuns. If one says, "In your name, I will give bran," and the nun accepts it, the Blessed One said: Nun, is it true that you caused the one residing in the womb to be aborted? The nun replies: I have not caused the one residing in the womb to be aborted, but I have accepted it. The Blessed One said to the nuns: Nuns, etc.

Such behavior should not be accepted. If accepted, it will increase the downfall of a grave offense, it is said. This is what is done in this sutra. The characteristics of acceptance are explained in the previous sutra. If one accepts without saying anything, it is only a grave offense. Also, killing a non-animal or an emanation is also, the word "also" is to emphasize "is a grave offense." If one kills a being other than one reborn as a human, it is a grave offense. If one kills an animal being, is it also a grave offense? No, therefore it is said "non-animal," except for an animal being, because from that it is said to be a cause of downfall. Killing an emanation is also only a grave offense. Emanations are also considered to be of two types, those that have become sentient beings and those that have not. Among these, here it refers to an emanation that has become a sentient being, while one that has not become a sentient being is not included, because there is no cutting off of life in that. Here also, the downfall is established from the cause of cutting off life, because it depends on the form of the basis. Here the text is, those with life, even if they kill a very large non-human, it is only a grave offense. After the emanation, the text is, whatever is not included in all beings other than the basis of speech. So, if that is the case, would it become an Arhat? No, therefore it is said that it is not Nirvana either. So, if that is the case, would a non-returner completely attain Nirvana in the intermediate state, residing in the intermediate state? No, therefore it is said that they do not enter the Victorious One's teachings. So, if that is the case, would it become entering the realm of Nirvana without remainder? No, therefore it is said that it is not complete Nirvana. So, what is it? The Blessed One taught: Emanations, that is, emanations other than those counted as sentient beings, also have all of those. If one cuts off its life, what downfall will it become? It is a grave offense, if one also has the thought of counting it as a sentient being, then it is only a grave offense.
