Therefore, it was said, "One should start applying from the end of the feet." One should start from the end of the feet and gradually apply oil upwards until reaching the top of the head. It should not be done in any other way, and this is solely to avoid causing harm. Because there is a possibility that non-human entities may enter an untouched corpse, in order to eliminate the faults that may arise from taking substances from it, it was said, "One should not take from an untouched corpse." One should not take substances from an untouched corpse. So, if that is the case, should one touch it oneself? Or should one have someone else touch it? Therefore, it was said, "One should not touch it oneself, nor have someone else touch it." Here, the word "corpse" is connected to both aspects. One should neither touch the corpse oneself, nor have someone else touch it. This is the general statement. To eliminate the doubt that one should not take even toothpicks etc. until they are used, it was said, "One should do things like toothpicks, water, clay, feces, and earth in the dwelling itself." In the dwelling itself, a monk should do things like toothpicks as he pleases. Here, the scripture states that a monk should freely do these five things in the dwelling: toothpicks, water, clay, feces, and earth. If a monk is forcibly taken away by his former wife etc., what should other monks do at that time? Therefore, it was said, "When a monk or novice is unwillingly taken away by relatives, they should be held back." "Unwillingly" means unhappily. "Relatives" refers to siblings, children, and wives etc. When they take him away like that, the monk should be held back. The scripture also says that one should ask him which hand is being held. If he says that he was previously held by his wife, do not let go. If he says that you are holding him, then you should let go, meaning that, judging from his thoughts, you should let go as if wanting his wife. The defeat of taking what is not given is a minor matter, and the defeat of taking what is not given arises from minor matters.

It is finished. Now, let's talk about the questioning part. The saying "four Kakani equals one Mashaka," where "Kakani" refers to "Bontika," which is the name for the value of twenty "Dronabu." Four Kakani equals one Mashaka, which is the name for the value of eighty "Dronabu." This sutra is to explain the self-nature of the phrase that will appear below, "Where its 'part' is twenty," therefore, "part" refers to Mashaka. The meaning of "part" is to understand the self-nature of Karshapana. Understanding the self-nature of Karshapana is to show that losing one-fourth of it will lead to failure. After saying "five Mashakas, etc.," if someone asks, will stealing five Mashakas lead to failure, but stealing four will not? Therefore, it is said that "five itself is an example of one-fourth of Karshapana." In the "Differentiation Sutra," it is said "five Mashakas, etc.," which should be understood as an example of one-fourth of Karashapana. Therefore, the phrase "five Mashakas, etc." is the end of "stealing one-fourth of Karshapana." After saying "five itself is an example of one-fourth of Karshapana," due to the difference in location and time, the distinction of Karshapana also appears to be many. Sometimes twelve Mashakas equals one Karshapana, sometimes sixteen Mashakas equals one Karshapana, and sometimes thirty-two Mashakas equals one Karashapana. Therefore, depending on what location and what time, five Mashakas are an example of one-fourth of Karshapana? Therefore, it is said, "Where its 'part' is twenty, depending on that." In what location and time is the "part" of Karshapana twenty Mashakas, depending on that, Mashaka itself is an example of one-fourth of Karshapana. This shows that depending on the location of the theft and the time of the theft, five Mashakas are an example of one-fourth of Karshapana. Therefore, stealing one-fourth of Karshapana is the main reason for causing failure, and the number of Mashakas in one-fourth of Karshapana is certain.
