Whatever is obtained through giving, etc., also depends on acts like charity. Therefore, it should be understood here that only what is possessed through theft, robbery, etc., is truly possessed. Regarding the statement "one should not forcibly reclaim," 'forcibly reclaiming' refers to compelling through insistent requests to the king, etc. It does not apply to reclaiming through purchase, etc., as purchase, etc., will be permitted later. Here, it is the act of reclaiming based on one's own perception that is prohibited. Reclaiming based on another's perception is only a demonstration of the faults, such as leading to defeat, mentioned earlier. Therefore, if one reclaims one's own property with insistence based on one's own perception, it becomes a misdeed. Similarly, a monk should not forcibly reclaim what has been possessed by another, because it is said that it belongs to the one who robbed it. Since the robber has possessed the item, it becomes his possession. It is not reasonable for an ordained person to forcibly seize something against someone's will. Therefore, the prohibition here is not because there is a fault related to stealing, but because it is not in accordance with the conduct of an ordained person. If one should not forcibly reclaim, then how should one proceed? Therefore, it is said that one should persuade through teaching the Dharma. The stolen item should be recovered by the monk through teaching the Dharma. Regarding "even if it's close to half the price," it means one should redeem it even if it's close to half the price. 'Close' means nearly, even if it's slightly less than half the price, or slightly more than half, one should redeem it. Regarding "the begging bowl and robes can be redeemed even with precious items," it means that if one cannot persuade the other through teaching the Dharma, then the stolen begging bowl and robes can be redeemed even with precious items, in order to abandon afflictions such as engaging in quarrels. Regarding "bad reputation will arise, one should abandon it," it means one should not accuse publicly in front of a large crowd, but should admonish privately. Regarding "this thing arises from this," it refers to the fact that this thing arises from this cause.

Also. Even if a bad reputation arises because this person stole this thing, if it is indeed a lost item, I should determine that it is a lost item. A monk should not accept or take anything that has not been made public in front of any large crowd, this is the vow. This is to avoid distrust. Mentioning "publicly in front of a large crowd" will not cause this fault. For example, the six groups of monks took the pig's head that the thieves had cut off, saying they found it in the garbage heap. The searchers said to them, "How can the holy ones hold the banner of the upright and do such things?" Then, the World Honored One said, "A monk should not take things from the garbage heap without making it public in front of a large crowd. If he takes it, he will commit a serious crime." It is said that. If a non-human takes the corpse's belongings, in order to eliminate the thought that "that is not his." It is said that "the corpse's belongings taken by a non-human are not completely untaken," meaning that if the belongings belonging to the corpse series are taken by a non-human, do not think that it is completely untaken, you should know that stealing it will commit a serious crime. If the belongings taken by a non-human must be sent back to the tomb, then how should one go? Therefore, it is said that "follow the extremely fierce non-human," meaning that the monk should follow the extremely fierce and angry non-human, this is to avoid causing harm. After taking it to the tomb, how should the item be covered on the non-human? Therefore, it is said that "place the corpse face up, and cover it starting from the feet," meaning that cover the face-up corpse with the corpse's belongings. How should one cover the face-up corpse? Therefore, it is said that "place the corpse face up," meaning that place the face upwards, and then cover it with the leaves etc. that it took. How should one cover it?
