If it becomes one, then for each distant call, it becomes the basis of the offense. If the distant call is only half, then it will become a minor offense. This statement is specifically excluded during times of poverty, because it is said (in the scriptures) that there, the Sangha's, etc., can even be returned to the limit of gold. In order to show the difference between items that need to be measured and those that do not, it is said, "Not that itself, even if pressed with the weight of an ox, will change direction, and cutting the edge and the top." The so-called "not that itself" is that which does not need to be measured with a measuring tool. Changing the direction of the cloth, even if pressed with the weight of an ox, will change direction, which is that which does not need to be measured with a measuring tool, it does not need to be measured. Not changing direction, and cutting the edge and the top, is also that which does not need to be measured with a measuring tool, it does not need to be measured. Among them, the so-called "cutting the edge" is cutting the edge of woven fabrics such as cotton and wool. The so-called "cutting the top" is cutting the top of the spindle when initially starting to weave. The word "again" is connected to "not that itself," not that is not that. The item that is not that is not that itself, which is the definition of what does not need to be measured with a measuring tool. These two sutras are each the reason for not needing to be measured with a measuring tool, namely changing direction and cutting. In order to show that both of these need to be seen with one's own eyes, it is said, "For something not seen, that kind of thought will not arise." For an item that is not seen, the thought of "is it changed direction, or is it not changed direction, is it cut, or is it not cut" will not arise, therefore it is not allowed. Here, one should look at the original text with one's own eyes. If one does not look, it will become a serious violation, that is what is said. The situation regarding measuring tools, along with detailed explanations, has been explained. Next, let's say a little about what is said in the 《Vibhanga》, namely "Do not pry into the behavior of others." Among them, the so-called "behavior of others" is the livelihood of others. The so-called "do not pry" is that a Bhikshu should not to the owner, etc.

It should not be done. In order to prevent anything that needs to be measured by oneself or others with a scale, or to move it from the place where others measure it with a scale, therefore, it should be known that this act of forcibly interfering with the behavior of others is also prohibited. In order to explain the reason for taking away the property of others with a greedy mind, it is said, "One should not generate a greedy mind towards those who are not greedy," that is, for those who are not greedy, taking away bowls and robes, etc., one should not generate a greedy mind. That word is to avoid other words. Wanting to explain the nature of a non-greedy person, therefore it is said, "That is the lower to the upper," the so-called "that is" refers to the nature of a non-greedy person. "Lower to" refers to the last greedy person. "Upper" refers to not generating a great greedy mind. Thus it is declared: For relatives and friends, one should not generate medium and large greedy minds. For medium ones, one should not generate large ones. After making the distinction of not being greedy, now in order to explain the reason for the distinction of being greedy, it is said, "That is dear and agreeable, as well as the teacher and the one to be accomplished and the one to be offered to and the one to be praised and the one who will be happy if taken," the so-called "dear" refers to the friends of association here. "Agreeable" refers to being worthy of praise. "Teacher" refers to the disciplinarian and the preceptor. "The one to be accomplished" refers to, remembering and remembering whose precepts and listening and generosity, etc., one accomplishes those merits of his. "The one to be offered to" refers to offering with generosity and respect, etc. "The one to be praised" refers to praising with precepts and listening and generosity, etc. "The one who will be happy if taken" refers to, for whom, if I take his bowl and robes, etc., I will think he will be happy, having this trust, that is the one to be greedy for. Thus, know that all those dear ones, etc., are to be greedy for, with the distinction of small, medium, and large, etc.
